Service bulletins for the 2008 Audi Q7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

458 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

A911374 2024323-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION: CAMERA SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 12-61 dated October 1, 2012. Parking aid sporadically warns of obstacles when none exist. Parking aid is inoperative or provides constant warning. Various parking aid sensor fitting issues. Environmental conditions.
A571382 2017082-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders.
A441336 2022563-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-35 dated January 18, 2013. Customer feels vibration from 55 - 80 mph (88 - 128 km/h) in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not result in any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control.
A431312 2020095-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 43 number 10-04 dated September 29, 2010. The vehicle pulls to one side. The suspension height is uneven and the vehicle is crooked. One wheel location of the suspension is stuck in the raised position. The control system cannot be programmed. DTC's may be stored in address 34. The residual pressure holding valve of an air spring may be stuck closed, not allowing the air spring to reduce its height. This valve's function is to ensure a minimum air spring pressure of 50 psi in the event of a large leak. For example, if an air supply line was severed by road debris, the residual pressure holding valve would keep the air spring from completely deflating.
A011370 2018260-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 10-06 dated June 4, 2010. MIL on. A431315 2033587-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Self-leveling suspension cannot be adjusted during extremely cold weather. The self-leveling suspension warning light is illuminated in the instrument cluster. The self-leveling suspension operates normally again after the vehicle has been parked for a while in a garage or in the sun. DTC 20645 003 (valves for self-leveling control, mechanical fault) is present in the level control system module, J197 (address word 34). If the dryer on the air supply unit (air compressor) has taken in humidity for a long period of time, it may become saturated. As a result, the increased air humidity may get into the solenoid valve block and create condensation. In freezing temperatures, the condensation can freeze and block the valves, a condition that is recognized as a mechanical fault by the vehicle's self-diagnosis. Humidity can also enter the system if there is too much water in the air filter housing. Excess water can enter the air filter housing if the vehicle is driven in deep water or exposed to splashing water for an extended period of time (such as during off-road use).
A431314 2018765-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:REAR:SPRINGS:AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM; SUSPENSION:FRONT:SPRINGS:AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 43 number 12-11 dated October 29, 2012. The self-leveling system can no longer be adjusted with the MMI. The compressor for the self-leveling system continues to run after the engine has been switched off and the vehicle has been locked. DTCs may be stored in the level control system module, J197 (address word 34). Because of poor performance or failure of the air suspension compressor, the vehicle ride height cannot be adjusted. As a safeguard, the control module will lower the vehicle to the lowest position and illuminate the warning light. Drivability is not affected.
A001348 2002047-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 11-19 dated April 8, 2011. This TSB contains information on technician preparation when calling the Audi Technical Assistance Center

This valve's function is to ensure a minimum air spring pressure of 50 psi in the event of a large leak. For example, if an air supply line was severed by road debris, the residual pressure holding valve would keep the air spring from completely deflating.
A571385 2017082-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-82 dated February 5, 2013.
A601321 2030593-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 60 number 12-20 dated August 27, 2012. Evidence of water intrusion into the cabin of a vehicle equipped with a Panorama sunroof is found. Any of the water drain hoses can be either incorrectly installed (causing an obstruction) or the drain hose itself could have a defect causing a leak. In either case, water may not be channeled away from the sunroof frame and to the vehicle exterior. In most cases, these malfunctions can be found in the upper section of the drain hose. In the case of front sunroof drain hose malfunctions at the upper section of the drain hose, the repair has been to replace the drain hose. Replacing the drain hose is invasive and labor-intensive because it is necessary to remove and reinstall the instrument panel and structure to complete the procedure.
A961501 2019260-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 13-67 dated July 10, 2013. The customer may report that the handheld transmitter cannot be programmed to the garage door opener control module, J530. The customer?s door opener system may not be compatible with J530. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 model years 2005?2006 and A3 model year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer?s HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter?s programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal.
A481567 2017266-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 14-62 dated September 23, 2014. Electrically-adjustable steering column adjustment is restricted and does not adjust vertically. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. Seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The axial adjustment is still functional during this condition. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, which causes the electric steering column adjustment to fail. Once the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09), detects an excessive current draw, the basic settings will be erased. If basic settings are not stored in the vehicle electrical system control module, the module will not send voltage/current to the motor to operate the vertical adjustment.
A191562 2025303-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 15-61 dated July 7, 2015. Discontinuation and mixing of Audi-approved engine coolants. G11, G12, and G12+ coolants have been replaced by an improved version. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service.
A171565 2038129-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 15-63 dated June 2, 2015. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual.
A911518 2016513-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 10-59 dated September 15, 2010. In Mix (shuffle) mode, very long response times and subsequent malfunctions occur when the next track is being selected. Long response times also occur when the ?Return? hard key is pressed. In Mix (shuffle) mode, the previous track is not played when the ?Previous? button is selected in the CD control menu. A different track plays instead. In Mix (shuffle) mode, when the first track of the playlist was selected via the ?Previous? button in the CD control menu (rather than with the rotary push button), the track list shown in the MMI does not match the track list shown in the driver information panel (synchronization issue). In Mix (shuffle) mode, the current track is not highlighted in white letters in the MMI display. If the current track is selected again via the rotary push button, the audio briefly drops out. The current track is not color-highlighted in the MMI display. Audiobook tracks continuously fast-forward if ?Fast Forward? was selected in the first few seconds after the track started playing. The message ?Device is being initialized. Please wait?? is displayed when a second generation iPod Nano is installed. iPod locks up but is operable again after the iPod is reset. iPod performs a reset and restarts on its own. iPod is not detected when it is plugged into the AMI. The message ?Device or cable type not supported? appears in the MMI display. An automatic iPod upgrade through iTunes contained inoperative driver software. The customer may not realize that the iPod was updated and may complain that the AMI software is causing the issues. Because downgrading the updated iPod software is usually not possible, the AMI driver software (firmware) must be updated. The firmware update of AMI is not a ZUG update. Unlike ZUG updates, which are performed with an update CD in the CD changer, this firmware update is performed with a USB device connected dir
A461525 2022584-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 46 number 14-86 dated July 14, 2014. DO NOT use this TSB if there is another TSB for same concern applicable to the VIN. This TSB is only intended for diagnostic purposes and does not serve as a guideline for determining warrantable conditions. Customer may report that the steering wheel vibrates or pulsates when the brakes are applied. driving style, environmental conditions, and service history of the vehicle. Additionally, as brake pads and discs wear, their dampening ability is reduced. Disc thickness variation (DTV) is a common condition that contributes to brake pulsation. DTV occurs when the two braking surfaces of the brake disc are no longer parallel to each other. This condition cannot be accurately measured with normal workshop tools.
A441557 2022563-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 14-56 dated December 8, 2014. Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. Customer feels the vibration while driving at highway speeds from 55 ? 80 mph (88 ? 128 km/h). This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. If an applicable Repair Authorization is not followed, the claim will not be paid. Tires with higher mileage and/or wear should be inspected to determine the best correction for the issue (repair or replacement). Tire life and condition should be determined prior to starting any diagnosis or repair for a vibration.
A911529 2013422-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-04 dated September 11, 2013.
