A911579 2038824-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 14-69 dated November 4, 2014. The following message appears on the MMI display: "Device or cable type not supported". The AMI cable being used is a genuine Audi-branded cable with an Audi part number (see Required Parts and Tools for a list of valid part numbers). The "Device or cable type not supported" message may be displayed when an incorrect AMI cable type is connected to the MMI system. Only cables with an Audi part number (i.e., 4F0.XXX.XXX) are supported by the MMI system. Volkswagen-branded cables look similar, but are not guaranteed to work with Audi MMI systems. The label on the end of an Audi-branded cable has an Audi logo and Audi part number. Audi-branded cables have unique firmware inside the hardware that can determine which MMI system and iOS device are connected to the cable. Volkswagen cables do not have this firmware. The firmware is required to allow the system to function normally due to the different technology available in the different MMI systems and in the different iPhones and iPod Touch devices. In addition, the AMI system was designed to play the music stored locally on the connected device only. Music streaming (from Spotify or Pandora, for example) is not supported, and music stored in the cloud (on Google Play, Amazon Prime, or iTunes Match/iCloud, for example) may drop out, pause, and skip when played.
A011513 2030580-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 15-08 dated February 17, 2015. The customer complains that the vehicle sporadically cannot be started. The yellow gearbox warning light may be illuminated. DTCs P15700 and/or P170100 may be present. The remote key being used is transmitting incomplete immobilizer information to the vehicle, resulting in the condition.
A011505 2036169-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. The MIL is on due to a Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low DTC stored in the ECM. Drivability concerns such as hard starting/no starting are present. Fuel pump may be making a straining noise. Outside temperature is sub-freezing. This issue is related to the diesel fuel and not a technical problem with the vehicle.
PDI - 2015 A8-A82017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. This document contains the Audi pre-delivery inspection checklist. All items must be completed prior to customer delivery by an Audi technician. Audi recommends using an Audi approved battery charger to prevent excessive battery discharge during inspection. It is advised to start ODIS with the engine running to enable all 5F Test Plans in GFF and also to ensure SVM sees all control units during the SVM check vehicle configuration. Refer to the Special functions tab of ODIS Diagnosis using GFF for the PDI function tests. The customer has a general concern related to Audi connect. Different features are included with different generations of the Audi connect system. The Audi connect Gen1 system includes all vehicles that utilize a removable plastic SIM card. The Audi connect Gen2 system includes all vehicles that utilize an embedded SIM card. The root cause of all complaints cannot be attributed to the vehicle hardware because of the backend server configurations that need to be correct in order for Audi connect to work. For most sporadic complaints, the issue typically resides with the MBB backend server or with the source data provider (Google, INRIX, etc.), and not with the vehicle. In rare cases, the mobile network operator (AT&T, T-Mobile) can be the cause of the complaint. For most static complaints, the issue can be attributed to the user account subscription or possibly the vehicle hardware.

Service Key functionality has been disabled in the comfort system central control module for this specific VIN because of a customer complaint of a chirping sound. The sound originates from the KESSY antenna, and when Service Key is disabled, the sound subsides.
