Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi A8
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

If the memory is read with guided fault finding (GFF) or if Immobilizer test plans are performed, the above DTC entries may be stored due to a communication error between the VAS tester and the TCM. (In particular, the issue happens with tester VAS 5051B). |

| A911376 2033032- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Call quality using the hands-free function is poor. Additionally, voice-activated functions may be restricted. The driver sounds muffled. The voice of the driver is quiet. The driver's voice is accompanied by background interference. Voice activated commands are not recognized. Various malfunctions can result from the normal airflow out of center instrument panel vents that are directed upward at the microphones in the roof module, which can limit microphone sensitivity. |
| A851314 2033428- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. The instrument panel vents cannot be adjusted. The knob may be broken. The force required to adjust the vent is greater than the attachment strength of the knob. As a result, the knob may break. |

| A171568 2028440- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14-49 dated April 3, 2014. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer. |
