Service bulletins for the 2013 Audi A7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A571499 2029151-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-87 dated March 27, 2013. The door cannot be opened from outside with the outer door handle, but it can be opened with the inner handle. The complaint is often described as follows: The customer locks the vehicle and checks by pulling the door handle whether the vehicle is locked. When opening the vehicle again, the door cannot be opened. It feels as if the handle is slack. When fitting the Bowden cable from the mounting bar to the door lock, the cable can get kinked. In some cases, this can increase the inner friction of the strand in the Bowden cable. As a result, the door lock stays in pressed position or does not completely return to its zero position. When the Bowden cable gets twisted during the installation, the rubber grommets can get distorted. Consequently, the Bowden cable has a too-high inner friction and the door lock does not move to the zero position.
A481457 2034351-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STEERING; WHEELS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 13-47 dated August 2, 2013. Customer may report hearing creaking or squeaking noise from the steering column when steering slowly (the noise can be duplicated while the vehicle is stationary if the steering wheel is turned slowly). The noise may get louder at higher temperatures or when the vehicle is driven for a longer period of time. The noise comes from the sealing sleeve/steering column opening on the bulkhead. Listen to the attached audio file for example of the noise. Insufficient lubrication of the intermediate steering shaft in the area of the sealing sleeve.

A011462 2036169-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 14-59 dated January 21, 2014. The MIL is on. DTC may be stored in the ECM. Drivability concerns such as hard starting/no starting are present. Outside temperature is sub-freezing. In tank, fuel pump may be making a straining noise.
A011460 2033919-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; PARKING BRAKE:DRIVELINE:HYDRAULIC:ACTUATOR; ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-34 dated October 8, 2013. The MIL is on. DTCs are stored in the ECM. There may be slight power reduction at high RPMs. One of the vacuum actuators on intake runner bank 1 or bank 2 is defective. It is possible that the membrane on the vacuum actuator may tear. As a result, the intake manifold flaps do not function.
A011459 2036169-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 14-55 dated January 8, 2014. The MIL is on. DTC P0087 may be stored in the ECM. A011456 2032900-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-68 dated February 7, 2013. The MIL is on. DTC P008700 is stored in the ECM. The fault listed can occur under certain driving conditions. It is caused by an incorrect software setting. Some driving scenarios (such as extended idling or heavy stop-and-go traffic) can cause a slight misinterpretation of the data, which causes the MIL to illuminate.
A011455 2036169-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. The MIL is on. DTC P0087 may be stored in the ECM. Drivability concerns such as hard starting/no starting are present. Outside temperature is sub-freezing. In tank, fuel pump may be making a straining noise. Diesel fuel requires additive blending or ?winterization? to be useable at low temperatures. At temperatures below 20° F (-7° C), No. 2 Diesel with insufficient winterization blending may lose its fluidity due to wax separation. This may clog the fuel filter or in-tank filter, preventing the engine from operating properly. No. 2 Diesel is blended by refineries to various levels of winterization (minimum useable temperature) based on month, geographical location, and the 10th percentile minimum ambient air temperature for the given region. Although rare, during sudden periods of extreme low temperatures (record lows), fuel stations may not be adequately prepared with No. 2 Diesel fuel with sufficient winterization to resist wax formation or ?gelling?.
A011451 2030580-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-19 dated August 1, 2013. The customer complains that the vehicle sporadically cannot be started. The yellow gearbox warning light may be illuminated. DTCs may be present. The remote key being used is transmitting incomplete immobilizer information to the vehicle, resulting in the condition.

A961378 2034000-2017-11-03. Service bulletin. LANE DEPARTURE; LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 13-74 dated September 11, 2013. Customer complains that Audi Lane Change Assistant deactivates or is sporadically inoperative. Message ?Side Assist Unavailable? is displayed in the Driver Information Display when the system deactivates. Workshop finds that Audi Lane Change Assistant can be activated without issue. DTCs are stored in the Lane Change Assistance control module. A software issue within J769 causes a diagnostic fault, which deactivates the Audi Lane Change Assistant temporarily.
A911311 2027718-2017-11-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-86 dated June 11, 2013.
