Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi A6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE. New software in the engine control module, J623 (01) addressed the condition.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions (such short-distance, stop-and-go driving), high crankcase pressure can cause the DTCs to appear.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. The use of contaminated gasoline or gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives may result in one or more conditions.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. The faults listed above are caused by an incorrect software setting and can occur under certain driving conditions. In some scenarios, such as extended idling or heavy stop-and-go traffic, a slight misinterpretation of the data can occur and the MIL may be activated.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Software update needed.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes. By changing the crankcase pressure valve to a lower operating pressure this condition can be improved and eliminate the mentioned possible DTC codes. Along with the crankcase pressure being lowered, a new ECM software level is required to compensate for new crankcase pressure.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. High quality media files (video and sound) are now integrated into technical service bulletins on a case-by-case basis. Media files can now be viewed on any smartphone or tablet.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. A DTC with the description ?Invalid Data Record? is stored after an ECU has been replaced or updated.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) details the general process for carrying out a Software Version Management (SVM) software update for any TSB or Update.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer complaints.
2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay.

2022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Under certain driving conditions, the linkage for the waste gate actuation can encounter excessive wear which leads to play at the waste gate flap. This leads to boost escaping through a loose flap, which sets DTC P0299 (Negative Pressure Deviation).
2022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Customer complains of excessive oil consumption.
2022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The NVLD pressure switch may erroneously detect a very small leak.
2022-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Beginning with MY2009, the filler necks of various TDI clean diesel vehicles were equipped with a misfueling guard (Figure 1). The guard minimizes the likelihood that fuel other than ultra-low sulfur diesel will be put into the vehicle. The misfueling guard is designed to remain in a locked position when a nozzle with a diameter typically suited for non-diesel fuels (approximately 13/16?, or 20.6mm) is inserted, to prevent further insertion of the nozzle into the filler neck. A nozzle with a larger diameter typically suited for diesel fuel (approximately 15/16?, or 23.8mm) will unlock the misfueling guard when inserted, allowing the nozzle to be further inserted into the filler neck.
