The yellow steering symbol is illuminated in the instrument cluster. DTC C10ACF0 (steering end stops not programmed) is logged in the power steering control module, J500 (address word 44). The power steering control module expects to receive a VIN message over the data bus shortly after terminal 15 is turned on. If the VIN message is not received at the expected time, the power steering control module assumes it has been installed in a new vehicle, and it discards the programmed end position values. |
| A441342 2022563- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION; STEERING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-36 dated February 18, 2013. This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. The customer feels the vibration in one or both of the following circumstances: * When driving at highway speeds from 55 - 80 mph (88 - 128 km/h). * When applying low brake pedal pressure with minor slow down. The vibrations felt by the customer could be a result of the harmonic vibrations caused by the radial force variation (RFV) of the tires. |

| A171341 2027501- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 11-24 dated November 11, 2011. Electronic oil consumption measurement - Repair Authorization Model Year 2012. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine, and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner?s Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, and the ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Utilizing the advanced sensor technology integrated in the 2009> B8 platform (A4, allroad, A5, A5 Cabriolet, A6, and Q5) equipped with the 2.0 TFSI (CAEB, CPMA) engine, it is possible to measure oil consumption electronically via a Guided Function test plan. The electronic oil consumption measurement will only function on the 2.0 TFSI engine with engine code CAEB and CPMA. |
| A101310 2018288- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 10 number 10-02 dated September 14, 2010. Prior to engine replacement, any debris lodged in transferred assemblies must be removed. If the vehicle's engine experienced a serious mechanical problem, it is possible that small pieces of metal debris resulting from the mechanical problem may have become deposited in the intake manifold, air intake hoses, exhaust manifolds, exhaust down-pipes, turbocharger, supercharger, and/or intercooler. If these pieces are not removed prior to the installation and operation of the replacement engine, the pieces may be drawn into the combustion chamber, which can cause a knocking noise and subsequent serious engine damage. |
| A011329 2033223- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-73 dated March 7, 2013. The engine warning light is on after engine replacement. The engine is not running roughly. However, the engine control module, J623 (01), is storing one or more of the following engine misfire fault codes: DTCs P0300 - P0304. The fault codes occur at light load, between 8% and 14% accelerator pedal position. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once. |
| A571397 2022032- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-92 dated August 1, 2013. | A271318 2023282- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-10 dated February 13, 2012. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed. |
| A201327 2035073- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. MIL on. DTC P045600 (EVAP System Leak Detected NVLD (very small leak)) is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). Drivability is not affected. |

Customer complains of excessive oil consumption. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner?s Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature, and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue, and the oxidation level of the oil. Under certain driving conditions, internal engine pressure conditions in the 3.0 TFSI engine can negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This can occur while the vehicle is operated in city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods. |

Customer states all or part of the picture generated from the top view camera system has an unnatural hue. To achieve a natural-looking top view camera image, the camera system constantly adjusts the displayed colors based on environmental conditions. In certain lighting conditions, the system responds to vibrant nearby colors (from the vehicle or other objects) by automatically adding a complementary color to rebalance toward white, which can lead to color deviations. For example, a red object can cause the system to add a green hue. The strength of the added color depends on the brightness of the object and the ambient light. |
| A871564 2010146- | 2017-10-27. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 15-63 dated May 18, 2015.
