Service bulletins for the 2011 Audi A6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 01134520314584 | 2023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions (such short-distance, stop-and-go driving), high crankcase pressure can cause the DTCs to appear. |
| 01125820314581 | 2023-01-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes. By changing the crankcase pressure valve to a lower operating pressure this condition can be improved and eliminate the mentioned possible DTC codes. Along with the crankcase pressure being lowered, a new ECM software level is required to compensate for new crankcase pressure. |

| Circular - Emiss | 2018-05-21. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CATALYTIC CONVERTOR. Over time and mileage and under certain conditions, the factory-installed catalysts may not perform as required by Federal regulations. If the effectiveness of a catalyst is reduced, this may result in an increase in tailpipe emissions and the vehicle could fail to pass an emissions inspection. Updated exhaust clamp part number to reference ETKA |
| Dealer Letter - | 2018-04-16. Launch repair availability for A8 (criteria 4E) and A6 (criteria 4F). |

| AWA-13-07 | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL. As part of Audi's ongoing commitment to our environment, Audi is extending the Emissions Control Systems Warranty to cover cleaning of the engine cylinder head secondary air ports to remove carbon buildup under specific conditions to 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's original in-service date for certain 2009-12 Model Year Audi vehicles with 3.2L engine, and certain 2009-2013 Model Year Audi vehicles with 3.0T engines. The vehicle's original in-service date is defined as the date the vehicle was delivered to either the original purchaser or the original lessee; or if the vehicle was first placed in service as a "demonstrator" or "company" car, on the date such vehicle was first placed in service. The warranty extension is fully transferable to subsequent owners. Audi has determined that under certain driving conditions, carbon buildup can occur in the engine cylinder head secondary airports. Due to the presence of specific fault codes caused by this carbon buildup, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on the instrument cluster may illuminate. The MIL is part of the on-board diagnostic system. In some locales, an illuminated MIL could cause the vehicle to fail an IM emissions inspection, vehicle registration application could be denied. Audi will diagnose, and if necessary clean the engine cylinder head secondary air ports to remove the carbon buildup at no cost to the customer as long as the vehicle is within the time and mileage limits of the warranty extension. This warranty extension covers only the diagnosis and cleaning of the cylinder head secondary air ports to remove the carbon buildup. Reimbursement is applicable only to the repairs described in this Warranty Bulletin. |
| A011473 2031458- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-45 dated December 5, 2013. The MIL is on. DTCs are stored in the ECM. Under extreme driving conditions (such as short-distance, stop-and-go driving), high crankcase pressure can cause the DTCs to appear. The condition can be improved and the DTCs eliminated when the crankcase pressure valve is changed to a lower operating pressure and the ECM software is updated to compensate for new crankcase pressure. |
