Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi A5

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1085 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

26 13 18 20279452022-05-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Humming or metallic rattling noise from under the vehicle, heard most consistently during engine idle or slow acceleration. Initial inspection indicates that the noise is coming from the exhaust system. Relative movements in the rear mounting of the exhaust system (rear silencer).
24 14 50 20382122022-05-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). The engine judders or runs erratically. The vehicle judders during acceleration. No event entry is stored in the engine control module (ECM). The air mass meter is suspected to be faulty. Possible incorrect function on the sensor elements of the air mass meter.
A9022582059335_32022-05-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. This bulletin contains information on noises from the instrument cluster installation area.
A8722252010146172022-05-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. This bulletin contains instructions for properly cleaning and removing a musty odor from the heating and ventilation system.
A4022382024318122022-05-05. Service bulletin. WHEELS. This bulletin describes the proper procedure to address a clicking or clacking noise from the wheel bearing
A9022572032113_62022-05-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. This is an informational bulletin containing information about the outside temperature reading.
A4622302034181202022-05-05. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This technical service bulletin provides troubleshooting for brake noise.
37 14 48 20300072022-05-02. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. TAC must be contacted before any repairs are attempted. Specific information about the concern must be gathered (as described in the Service portion of this bulletin) before TAC is contacted. Customer may report harsh shift concerns, but the customer is unable to determine the shift point because there is no gear indicator in the cluster. The concern can be reproduced.
37 14 30 20036582022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC):CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off).
37 14 22 20289852022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). The fault occurs with ATF temperature below 60° C. Check for this temperature range in the extended environmental conditions of the diagnosis protocol. This TSB only applies if the ATF level is correct and there are no leaks.
37 13 09 20287152022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:GEARS. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
37 13 07 20336582022-05-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who consciously or unconsciously drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. As a result, application of the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time (brake pedal with left foot and accelerator pedal with right foot) results in the following: ? Brake pedal function (normal at all times) overrides any throttle application. ? Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will not be stored. ? When the brake pedal is applied while the accelerator is depressed, engine RPMs will return to idle speeds of 1400 RPMs after approximately two seconds. ? When the accelerator is applied while the brake pedal is depressed, the vehicle accelerates slower than usual (reduced engine torque).
30 13 18 20282292022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. There may be clutch mechanism wear. Customer may report that the vehicle does not start or only starts when the clutch pedal is pressed very firmly. The message ?Press clutch pedal to start vehicle? may appear in the instrument cluster.
28 13 21 20175552022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. It is possible that objects have been inserted into the ignition lock, which causes the slide of the ignition lock to become stuck in the rear part of the lock (S-contact position). The stuck slide is not allowed to return to the starting point (0-position).
27 14 24 20253602022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This TSB provides basic diagnosis steps for discharged batteries, general tips for working with batteries, and system verification steps to ensure that the vehicle is configured correctly. For additional information on known current draw issues, refer to the following TSBs: ? 2014127: 27 Battery dead or low after returning to the vehicle (2007 A6, A8, Q7) ? 2019143: 27 Battery discharged on some vehicles with Advanced Key (2005 - 2008 A6, Q7)
27 13 18 20232822022-05-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed.
26 13 18 20279452022-05-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Humming or metallic rattling noise from under the vehicle, heard most consistently during engine idle or slow acceleration. Initial inspection indicates that the noise is coming from the exhaust system. Relative movements in the rear mounting of the exhaust system (rear silencer).
24 14 50 20382122022-05-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:HOSES/LINES/PIPING/FITTINGS. Possible incorrect function on the sensor elements of the air mass meter.
DC_202203292022-04-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Dealer Communication: Vehicle Sales Reporting, Reinstatement, and Audit Policy
