Service bulletins for the 2013 Audi A4
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 37 13 17 2029027 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). The DTCs are stored due to an issue with the transmission control module software. Specific DFCCs are stored as a result of the following situations: ? DTC P060A00 with DFCC 8692 can be logged when a driving mode (Drive or Reverse) is selected within one second of selecting Neutral, while the vehicle rolls at a speed less than 2 mph (such as when the vehicle is being maneuvered in or out of a parking spot). ? DTC P060A00 with DFCC 8694 can be logged when the gear is quickly changed from Park to Neutral, due to a low diagnosis threshold. ? DTC P060A00 with DFCC 12480 can be logged when the gear is changed using the Tiptronic function, due to a low diagnosis threshold. |
| 37 13 10 2034863 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. There is a reaction between the TCM and the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) in vehicles within a specific VIN range. |
| 37 13 09 2028715 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:GEARS. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted. |
| 37 13 07 2033658 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who consciously or unconsciously drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. As a result, application of the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time (brake pedal with left foot and accelerator pedal with right foot) results in the following: ? Brake pedal function (normal at all times) overrides any throttle application. ? Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will not be stored. ? When the brake pedal is applied while the accelerator is depressed, engine RPMs will return to idle speeds of 1400 RPMs after approximately two seconds. ? When the accelerator is applied while the brake pedal is depressed, the vehicle accelerates slower than usual (reduced engine torque). |
| 37 13 05 2030582 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). The entry is caused by an overly sensitive diagnosis in the transmission control module. |
| 37 13 03 2033653 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE. The entry is caused by an overly sensitive diagnosis in the TCM, due to an error in the engine control module (ECM), J623, software. This error does not affect the driving characteristics. |
| 37 13 02 2029027 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. |
| 37 13 01 2028985 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). The fault occurs with ATF temperature below 60o C. Check for this temperature range in the extended environmental conditions of the diagnosis protocol. This TSB only applies if the ATF level is correct and there are no leaks. |
| 37 12 73 2031775 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Customer may report transmission warning lamp illuminated in instrument cluster. DTC P074100 (Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off) is stored in TCM. Diagnostic error in TCM software. |
| 30 13 18 2028229 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. There may be clutch mechanism wear. Customer may report that the vehicle does not start or only starts when the clutch pedal is pressed very firmly. The message ?Press clutch pedal to start vehicle? may appear in the instrument cluster. |
| 28 13 21 2017555 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. It is possible that objects have been inserted into the ignition lock, which causes the slide of the ignition lock to become stuck in the rear part of the lock (S-contact position). The stuck slide is not allowed to return to the starting point (0-position). |
| 27 14 24 2025360 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. | 27 13 18 2023282 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed. |
| 27 13 17 2033524 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE. Incorrect tolerances of cruise control ?Set? button. Cruise control deactivates sporadically or cannot be activated. A new set speed cannot be saved. ?Set? button on cruise control stalk does not work. |
| 26 14 23 2037812 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Rattling noises are heard coming from underneath the vehicle. These noises may be a result of contact between an exhaust heat shield and the body of the vehicle. |
