Service bulletin 15-034
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 24PBB | 2024-03-04. Service bulletin. Reference Hendrickson Recall 23E-095 Hendrickson alerted Peterbilt to a limited number of Hendrickson COMPOSILITE® EXS20 steerable, auxiliary lift axle suspension assemblies and individual steering knuckle assembly components that are equipped with bearing journals that may not have been seated correctly to the backbones of the left and right-side steering knuckle assembly components during manufacture. Loss of oil from the respective axle hubs may cause the spindles to become loose from the steering knuckle assemblies or otherwise fracture and/or cause wheel end hub damage . This can further result in foreign object debris on the roadway, increasing the risk of a crash and/or injury. |
