What is wrong

Issue:

On certain trucks, the ball stud on the drag link and/or tie rod may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the stud could fail and cause a loss of steering control.

Safety Risk:

A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

PACCAR advises not to drive the truck until the recall repairs are completed. PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealership to arrange for an inspection. The dealer will replace the drag link and/or tie rod, as necessary.
