SSM 550312026-07-28. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration
SSM 550082026-07-20. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Ford vehicles may exhibit inoperative heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and/or front/rear defrost features after a remote start is performed through the Ford mobile application or with the key fob. Customers may also experience heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and/or front/rear defrost features turning on in unexpected conditions such as during warmer weather. These features will operate normally when commanded in the center display screen. This may be due to the customer not setting up their "Climate Settings" through the Ford mobile application. To correct this condition, inform the customer they should perform a remote start from the Ford mobile application and then adjust the "Climate Settings" in the Ford mobile application as desired. These settings only need to be set once and will persist through subsequent remote starts. Heated and cooled seats will be set to Level 2 when turned ON via "Climate Settings" in the Ford mobile application during a remote start event. This is normal operating characteristic. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no a
SSM 547652026-04-28. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Bronco, Bronco Sport, F-Super Duty, Maverick, Mustang, Mustang Mach-E, Ranger and Transit vehicles may exhibit a no audio/sound condition. This may be due to the software in the audio control module (ACM). To determine if it is a software concern, disconnect the vehicle's 12-volt battery cables for 10 minutes and reconnect. If the concern is still present, continue with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 Information and Entertainment System > General Information > Diagnosis and Testing and repair as necessary outside of this article. If the no audio/sound concern is resolved, engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected by September 2026. Replacement or reprogramming of the ACM and or audio digital signal processing module (DSP) may not resolve this condition at this time. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If a customer's vehicle exhibits this concern, submit a Vehicle Concern Report.
SSM 547202026-04-10. Service bulletin. Various 2020-2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system (BLIS) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z-14A411-B to resolve the concern.
SSM 546012026-02-27. Service bulletin. Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with wired keyless entry keypad systems and accessory wireless keyless entry keypad systems may or may not come with a wallet card containing the master code. Unlike the integrated wired keypad, the accessory wireless keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool or from the label printed on the body control module (BCM). The Factory Keyless Entry Code application within the diagnostic scan tool will not provide an applicable master code for the accessory wireless keypad. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is not available, the "Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide" can be referenced and provides direction on how to retrieve the master code. This guide is located under the Workshop Manual tab > Accessories > Installation > Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide > PPT C > Step C2.<br /><br /> Note: The only available keypad for some vehicles from the assembly plant is the accessory wireless keyless entry keypad. The integrated wired keypad cannot be installed on vehicles not equipped from the factory with a wired keyless entry k

Use part number SC3Z-14A411-B to resolve the concern.
SSM 541812025-09-02. Service bulletin. Some 2022-2025 E-Transit vehicles may exhibit an unsuccessful programmable module installation (PMI) and/or software updates on the GWM using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. FDRS may also show the GWM in the toolbox topology view as having diagonal lines through it, indicating that there is a data error for the GWM. This may be due to missing module configuration data in the Ford database. To correct this condition, select the envelope icon at the top right corner of FDRS, select "Refresh Vehicle Files", then click "Continue". Once the "Refresh Vehicle Files" completes, start a new FDRS session and then reattempt GWM programming. Engineering is working to correct this module data. The concern is expected to be resolved by October 2025.
SSM 540902025-08-04. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC4/Digital Experience may exhibit an unsuccessful telematics control unit module (TCU) software update or software activation during a universal serial bus (USB) update. This may be due to the vehicle connectivity setting being disabled.
SSM 540542025-07-24. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Transit vehicles with gasoline or flex fuel engines may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0773 and/or P097E stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). These vehicles may also exhibit various other powertrain related DTCs setting in the PCM. This may be due to pushed out pins and/or poor terminal crimping at connector C1280. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 30-5 for location information.
SSM 539832025-07-02. Service bulletin. Some 2022-2025 Transit vehicles may experience an unsuccessful programmable module installation (PMI) on the body control module (BCM) using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic tool. This may be due to a software to hardware correlation issue. This correlation issue has been fixed on the Ford servers. To correct this condition, download and run the "BCM-Body Control Module Installation (PMI)" application using the FDRS scan tool. If the PMI fails with an error stating "check valid application failed" and the self test shows the BCM responds negatively (purple color coding), replace the BCM with service part number NK4Z-15604-E or NK4Z-15604-F. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and labor operation numbers 12651D and 12651D4 if BCM replacement was not required, 12651D and 12651D5 if BCM replacement was required.
