Service bulletin SSM 52299
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U02A2, P206B, P203B, P208A, P20FA, P20FD, and/or P20FC stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). Before performing normal diagnostics, inspect connectors C1273C (32 pin) and C406 (14 pin) for proper connection. Also disconnect and inspect C1415 (32 pin), C406 (14 pin), C4863 (7 pin) and C4864 (5 pin) on the 14405 vehicle harness for signs of terminal push out, water intrusion and/or corrosion. Refer to the Wiring Diagram for connector locations. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 005 for repair procedures.

A recall listed here may apply to some of the same vehicles. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle.
| SSM 52389 | 2024-04-04. Service bulletin. Some 2022-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with only diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3012 stored in the PCM. If no drivability concerns or other DTCs are present, perform normal diagnostics per the Workshop Manual (WSM). If diagnostics lead to the powertrain control module (PCM) or body control module (BCM), the replacement of the PCM and/or the BCM will not resolve this concern. This illuminated MIL with DTC U3012 does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. |

| TSB 24-2066 | 2024-04-03. Service bulletin. This TSB supersedes article 24-2036 to update the vehicles affected. Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty pickup vehicles built on or before 02-Jan-2024 equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0133, P0139, and/or P0145 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM and does not affect vehicle operation. |
| TSB 24-2055 | 2024-04-03. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P20A5 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the glow dosing module (GDM) and does not affect vehicle operation. Due to on-board diagnostic (OBD) functionality, the GDM may be referred to as the secondary OBD control module (SOBDMC) in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. |
| SANVol 2 Issue 1 | 2024-02-06. Service bulletin. The Service Awareness Newsletter is an informal communication that contains information that may not be presently available in a TSB, SSM, GSB, or other electronic communication. This artile includes ifnormation on warranty, technical service tips and other service information. |
| TSB 23-2421 | 2024-01-05. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.8L or 7.3L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P061B, U0140, U3035 and/or U3036 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
| TSB 23-2361 | 2023-12-05. Service bulletin. Some 2024 F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or before 27-Oct-2023 and equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P060C, U1022, P0093, P01C4, U3012, P24C7, P06E9, P0364, P1942, P162E, P061A, P2201, and/or P2698 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM and the transmission control module (TCM). |
| SSM 51804 | 2023-07-25. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2201 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the condition, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-08A, as Pinpoint Test (PPT) RD has been updated to improve diagnostics. |
| SSM 51497 | 2023-04-06. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) U3035 and/or U3036 in the powertrain control module (PCM) during a diagnostic self-test. These DTCS set when the PCM detects an authentication failure after key initialization (U3035) and/or while the PCM continues to monitor DTC (U3036) during the transition of the controller area network (CAN) bus entering sleep mode. U3035 and/or U3036 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the PCM, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present. No further service action is required. |
| SSM 51488 | 2023-04-06. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0100:87 in the telematics control unit (TCU) during a diagnostic self-test. This DTC sets when the TCU does not detect a valid signal from the powertrain control module (PCM) through the controller area network (CAN). U0100:87 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the PCM or TCU module, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present. No further service action is required. |
| SSM 50636 | 2022-03-29. Service bulletin. 2011-2022 F-Super Duty and 2016-2023 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26°C (80°F) and may increase to 1200 RPM at -40 °C (-40°F). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take-off (PTO) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages. |
