Service bulletin TSB 23-2185
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2023 Bronco vehicles built on or before 12-Jun-2023 equipped with a 2.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P051B stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.

| SSM 52342 | 2024-03-20. Service bulletin. Some 2022-2024 Broncos Raptors built on and before 13-Feb-2024 and 2021-2024 Broncos equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with ignition system DTC(s) P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0357, P2303, P2306, P2309, P2312, P2318, P2304, P2307, P2310, P2313, P2319, and/or P2322 set in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to incorrect cylinder to DTC mapping within the PCM. This means the DTCs listed may set against the incorrect cylinder. Even though the cylinder to DTC mapping is incorrect in the PCM, the presence of these DTCs means that a real ignition system concern is present that requires diagnosis and repair. Prior to performing a pinpoint test for one of the listed DTCs, it will be necessary to identify the correct cylinder that has the issue. Do this by using the Ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) to perform a cylinder power balance test. If the results show two cylinders dropping out, begin diagnosing the ignition system components for the cylinder that is dropping out and not setting an ignition related DTC. | SSM 52197 | 2024-01-30. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles equipped with 4x4 with part time engagement and built on or before 12-Jan-2024 may exhibit a condition of the vehicle being stuck in neutral tow mode. This may be due to a concern with the all-wheel drive (AWD) module software. Make sure the proper procedure is being followed to exit neutral tow mode by referring to the Owner's Manual > Towing Your Vehicle > Recreationally Towing Your Vehicle. Make sure the vehicle's battery is fully charged and then diagnose all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the AWD module. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-07A. If diagnostics do not resolve the concern or there are no DTCs present in the AWD module, reprogram the AWD module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. Refer to the appropriate section of the WSM. Once the repair is complete, verify the vehicle's ability to successfully enter and exit neutral tow mode by cycling the vehicle in and out of neutral tow mode a minimum of two times, allowing the vehicle to enter sleep mode (key-off for at least 5 minutes) be |
| SSM 51961 | 2023-11-03. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTCs P0096 and/or P007B in the powertrain control module (PCM), which may be more prevalent in high ambient air temperatures. For vehicles that meet this criateria, inspect the front of the vehicle for the presence of an aftermarket bumper and/or accessories which may restrict air flow to the charge air cooler and surrounding sensors. Remove the aftermarket accessory and return the vehicle to stock and reevaluate. If the concern returns with the stock bumper/accessories removed, proceed to normal Workshop Manual diagnostics. |
| SSM 51677 | 2023-06-08. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an inaccurate AAT reading with DTC P0072 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-01 > pinpoint test (PPT) BC has been updated to address this concern. The AAT WSM updates include: improved diagnosis and testing, AAT sensor reset, and the AAT sensor interaction with climate control system and gateway module A (GWM). |
| TSB 23-2015 | 2023-01-31. Service bulletin. 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles with 2.7L, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost or 5.0L engines, 2020-2022 Transit vehicles with 3.5L Duratec/3.5L EcoBoost engines, 2023 Bronco with the 2.3L engine having charging system diagnostics performed in the Workshop Manual (WSM) may experience the generator voltage desired (GENVDSD) parameter identification (PID) missing from the powertrain control module (PCM) PID list in the Ford Diagnosis And Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. This may be due to a software parameter in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
