Service bulletin PIP5830A
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
This Preliminary information communicates concerns created by an aftermarket ECM calibration installed by fleet companies. The Fleet companies install aftermarket ECM calibrations to limit the vehicle speed to approximately 70 mph and reduce the over all power output. This calibration also reduces the engine idle speed and may induce a vibration at idle. If the vehicle needs to be returned to factory specifications, the ECM must be replaced and programmed.

| N222359340 | 2022-04-08. Service bulletin. Product Emission Recall - General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emissions Recall on certain 2022 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles with a 2.8L diesel engine. In cold ambient temperatures when Diesel Emissions Fluid (DEF) in the DEF tank is frozen, the DEF tank pump may be activated before DEF has been sufficiently thawed by the heater. If this condition occurs, the control system may detect no DEF flow through the pump, set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), disable DEF dosing for the remainder of the drive cycle and alert the driver of an impending reduction in maximum vehicle speed. Dealers are to reprogram the ECM. |
| 1823901 | 2022-02-14. Service bulletin. Emissions Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain vehicles, equipped with 4-cylinder engines (RPO LHN, LEX, L3A, LYX, LKN, LE2, LCV or LTG). On some vehicles, an electrical connection in the circuit board may fail in the engine control module. If this occurs, a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), such as the Check Engine Light may illuminate. Replace the Engine Control Module (ECM). |
