Service bulletin 18-061-17

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Flash: Powertrain Diagnostic and System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illumination. Upon further investigation, the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the PCM memory:P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. U1424 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received. P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. P0339 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Intermittent. P2299 - Brake Pedal Position/Accelerator Pedal Position Incompatible. P2227 - Barometric Pressure Circuit Performance. P1611 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Position Sensor 1 Circuit High. P0513 - Invalid Skim Key. P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire (Sales Code DEC only). P1613 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure Sensor/Mass Air Flow Sensor Correlation. P1217 - Active Exhaust Valve 1 Performance. P121B - Active Exhaust Valve 2 Performance. The P0513 DTC is set during remote starting the vehicle and nearly simultaneously pressing the key fob button against the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) causing an engine stall. The PCM software also enables freeze frame/failure records to be stored for the following diagnostic trouble codes:P0102 - MAF sensor circuit shorted to ground. P0103 - MAF Sensor Circuit shorted High. P0607 - ECU Internal Performance. P060E - Level 2 TPS Sensor Coherency Check Has Failed. P1610 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Position Sensor 1 Circuit Low. P1611 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Position Sensor 1 Circuit High. P1616 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Position Sensor 2 Circuit Low. P1617 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Position Sensor 2 Circuit High. P1620 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Control Open Circuit. P1627 - Supercharger Bypass Valve Position Sensor 1/2 Correlation. P162A - Supercharger Bypass Valve Actuator Control System - Max PWM Exceeded.

90033572024-01-02. Service bulletin. ADAPTER, Engine Oil Filter (Pentastar V6) For all 2014MY replace the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA). For any other MY (with mileage above 30,000) review and follow instructions from STAR Online S1809000007 REV. C available on Dealer Connect. Also, consider the following: 1) Remove OFA 2) Replace only the oil inlet O-ring and gaskets (seals kit in SOL above). 3) Re-install the OFA. For 2023MY and beyond use black O-ring. For 2022MY and prior use red O-ring. Note: When replacing OFA, it may be necessary to transfer the Oil Temp/Pressure Sensor from the old OFA to the new OFA.

Rotor - Front 2 Piece For LA, LD SRT vehicles with the 2-piece Front Rotor (BR7 sales code), do NOT replace the rotor for a clicking noise occurring while turning at low parking lot speeds. Instead, remove front wheels and rotors and clean mating surfaces (wheel mounting face, rotor mounting faces (both sides), and hub mounting face) with a Scotch Brite Pad or equivalent, and reassemble. When installing wheel, MUST use clicker/torque wrench, set to 110 ft-lb (150 Nm).
90037042022-09-26. Service bulletin. Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair.
