A recall listed here may apply to some of the same vehicles. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
SSM 520762023-11-21. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with all wheel drive (AWD) may exhibit a noise from the rear of the vehicle while approaching the vehicle or prior to starting engine. This may be due to the rear drive unit (RDU) actuator learning process. Reprogram the software in the AWD module to minimize the noise using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. If no other concerns or symptoms are present, further diagnosis or repairs are not recommended. For claiming, use causal part 4000 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
TSB 23-23072023-11-02. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2020 Edge/F-150/Fusion/Continental/MKZ/Nautilus, 2019-2021 Mustang/Ranger/Transit Connect, 2020-2021 EcoSport/Escape/Expedition/Explorer/F-Super Duty/Aviator/Corsair/Navigator, 2021 Bronco Sport and 2020-2022 Explorer/Aviator vehicles with SYNC 3 may experience various SYNC performance related concerns. This may be due to the SYNC Software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the SYNC module (APIM) software.
TSB 23-22612023-09-01. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 23-2168 to update the vehicle line affected. Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E (non-GT) vehicles equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) may exhibit a whine noise from the front drive unit when driving steady at speeds between 30-40 mph (48-64 km/h) without diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) present. This may be due to software parameters. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM).
SSM 517212023-06-21. Service bulletin. Some 2022 Edge vehicles built on and after 16-Nov-2022 and 2022 Explorer vehicles built on and after 20-Sep-2022 may exhibit a brief illumination of the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) when the vehicle is shifted into park (P) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0919 and/or P0929 stored in the gear shift module (GSM). This may be due to the GSM software. To correct this condition, update the software in the GSM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming use the causal part number 7P155 and applicable labor operations in Section 07 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS).
22B282022-12-02. Service bulletin. Certain 2021-2022 Model Year Mustang Mach-E Vehicles Reprogram HVAC Control Module A software update has been released to ensure that customers are getting the best heating performance on their vehicles while driving at highway speeds. These updates will improve the heating capability and the defrost and defog performance when exterior temperatures are at or below -15C/5F
SSM 509742022-08-02. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2022 Escape/Corsair/F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis, 2021-2023 F-650/F-750/E-Series, and 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit a communication fault with emissions inspection equipment. This may be due to the software in the gateway module (GWM). To correct this condition, reprogram the GWM to latest software level using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Use causal part 14F642 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
TSB 22-21472022-04-26. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Escape and 2021 Corsair vehicles equipped with a 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) or 2.5L plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain may exhibit a no crank/no start condition due to the passive anti-theft system (PATS) immobilizer being enabled. This may be more prevalent after a vehicle service/repair. This may be due to software that renders the inverter system controller (ISC) (also known as secondary on-board diagnostic module C (SOBDMC)) inoperable when a vehicle repair requires a PATS update. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram various modules starting with the powertrain control module (PCM).
SSM 505552022-03-08. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Mustang GT500 vehicles may experience erratic and harsh shifting at highway speeds and/or reduced speed when accelerating from a stop, with a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator and DTCs P1601/P061A while using SelectShift. This may be due to powertrain control module (PCM) calibration. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle but not to use SelectShift. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in April 2022. Replacement or reprogramming of the PCM will not resolve this condition at this time. Schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in April 2022. Once the update becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment. Monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 505482022-03-08. Service bulletin. Some 2022 Maverick and 2020-2022 Escape vehicles equipped with a 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may exhibit an idle surge and/or rough idle with high temperature in the catalytic convertor and sulfur odor in the cab. This may be due to the software installed in the powertrain control module (PCM). This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently developing a software update that is expected in the last week of March 2022. Once the software update is available, contact the customer and schedule a follow-up appointment for repair. Monitor OASIS for updates.
