| SSM 51226 | 2023-01-05. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may experience a lack of steering assist upon start-up along with a Steering Assist Fault message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U3001:89 and U3000:96 in the power steering control module (PSCM). This may be due to low voltage at the PSCM. Power steering assist will be restored when sufficient voltage is supplied. To clear the DTCs using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS), select and run the PSCM - Reset the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) application. Once cleared, cycle the ignition to verify normal system operation. If the DTCs return, refer to Workshop Manual Section 211-02 for normal diagnostics. For claiming, use causal part 3504. |

Some 2021 F-150 vehicles may experience an Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) programming failure during Programmable Module Installation (PMI) and/or Software Update with the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) which states either The Module Configuration Has Failed, Would You Like To Retry? or Procedure Unsuccessful - RestoreDE0x_Range Exception Writing Configuration To Module. This may be due to the gateway module (GWM), accessory protocol interface module (APIM) and/or telematics control unit (TCU) not being at the correct software level to support an IPC software update. Perform all available software updates for the GWM, APIM and/or TCU. When these software updates are complete, continue with PMI and/or software update of the IPC. |
| SSM 50276 | 2021-12-07. Service bulletin. Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E/F-150 vehicles may exhibit a Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with missing active guide lines in the reverse camera display. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0415:86 may also be present in the IPMA. This may be due to a network interruption during module programming and/or when a module was disconnected which can cause the steering center find to be reset and various features to become disabled. The steering center find can be relearned by driving the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes, above 18 mph (30 km/h) and with no steering wheel input for a few seconds. When steering center is found, the Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message should clear. If the active guide lines are missing, perform the IPMA camera alignment using Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). |
