Service bulletin SSM 50048
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2020-2021 Corsair/Aviator/Navigator vehicles may have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3000:49 DTC stored in the remote function actuator (RFA) module preventing paring-connecting any phone as a key to the vehicle. If this DTC is detected during pre-delivery inspection (PDI) or while diagnosing phone as a key pare/connection issue, remove the RFA fuse or disconnect the battery terminals for minimum of 5 minutes then reinstall. Start a new FDRS session and verify that U3000:49 is no longer present. Ensure that phone as a key is enabled and a phone can be paired to the vehicle. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics procedures in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-01C.

| SSM55059 | 2026-08-03. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine, 2020-2026 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 3.3L hybrid engine, and 2020-2023 Lincoln Aviator vehicles equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost hybrid engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0A1E stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The vehicle may be unable to enter electric-only drive modes as expected during normal drive cycles. This may be due to the belt integrated starter generator (BISG). For vehicles with this condition, follow the necessary Pinpoint Test in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06 for DTC P0A1E and repair the vehicle as directed. Note that previous replacement of the BISG does not negate the need for subsequent BISG replacements if directed to do so by the appropriate Pinpoint Test diagnostics. Engineering is investigating this BISG quality concern. Monitor PTS for updates regarding this investigation. |

The message can be cleared from the center display screen and SYNC can be used normally, but it will re-appear at every subsequent ignition cycle. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a software update solution for this condition to be delivered OTA expected in late Q3 2026. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information. |
| SSM 55037 | 2026-07-27. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2024 Expedition and 2018-2027 Navigator vehicles equipped with a rear seat entertainment system/Lincoln Play may experience various system concerns. Rear seat entertainment systems are not on a controller area network (CAN) and are not supported by the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS). Certain system concerns may be resolved through software updates which will automatically download once each individual monitor is connected to Wi-Fi. Diagnostic support for rear seat entertainment systems is provided by VOXX electronics. If necessary, contact the VOXX Customer Service Department at 1-866-869-7888. If possible, record the device serial number by selecting the gear/Setup icon > Settings > Device and Software > About. If the unit will not power up, the serial number is on a label on the back of the monitor. It is helpful to know the date the issue occurred, how long the monitors were on prior to the issue, what app/input/media was being used, and if the system software was recently updated prior to the concern starting. | SSM 54720 | 2026-04-10. Service bulletin. Various 2020-2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system (BLIS) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z-14A411-B to resolve the concern. |

Certain 2021-2025 Model Year Corsair Vehicles- Flat Tow Rating Change On the affected vehicles, documentation in the owner’s manual incorrectly states that 2021 – 2025 Corsair PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles) can be recreationally flat towed. You cannot recreationally flat tow these vehicles with all wheels on the ground because damage to the powertrain may occur. All 2023-2025 model year vehicles will require dealers to perform a software update to the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) to install an updated digital owner’s manual. This action may require updates to other modules on the vehicle to receive the correct software. |
