SMT-TN-1482021-05-10. Service bulletin. Triumph has begun to receive an increase in warranty claims for exhaust butterfly cables and motor assemblies fitted to the above models. During inspection, it has been recognised that the components are serviceable and no faults have been found. Therefore we seek to remind dealers to refer to Technical News 142 dated March 2013 (Item 12) and follow the revised adjustment procedure prior to replacing any components.
SMT-TN-1452021-05-10. Service bulletin. If a Tiger Explorer customer reports excessive top-end engine noise (a ticking and or knocking noise) on an engine fitted to the above models up to VIN 602960, the dealer is requested to arrange the return of the motorcycle to Triumph Motorcycles to permit factory repairs. This will include either a modification to the existing cylinder head or replacement cylinder head and replacement camshaft drive chain tensioner.
SMT-SB-4852021-05-10. Service bulletin. We have identified that the two bolts securing the coolant hose T-piece to the lower crankcase are not tightened to specification. Dealers are requested to re-torque the bolts as instructed below.
