SERVICE INFORMATION - The Applied Vehicles listed in this bulletin may arrive at the dealer with a "Power Cut OFF Switch" (see Figure 1). - This Power Cut Off Switch should have been removed before the vehicle was shipped to the dealer. In a few cases, a vehicle may arrive at the dealer with the switch still installed. - If a vehicle arrives at the dealer with a Power Cut Off Switch installed, it must be removed during the vehicle PDI. BATTERY QUICK CHARGE NOTICE SERVICE INFORMATION When charging the vehicle’s 12 volt battery with the high amperage quick charge function, the ignition should never be ON, or turned ON, while charging. Attempting to start the vehicle, or turning the ignition ON, while using the high amperage quick charge could potentially damage the fuel pump control module. • Only turn the ignition ON when either the ESM or a technical service bulletin service procedure states to do so, and only while using a battery maintainer or smart charger set to reflash mode, or a similar setting. • Battery voltage should not exceed 16V during a reprograming operation.
