Service bulletin SSM 49500

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2020 Navigators vehicles may have a symptom of the interior and/or ambient temperature not showing at the top of the SYNC screen after updating the SYNC software. To resolve this condition, reflash the SYNC module with the latest software using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool and Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415 > General Procedures > SYNC Module Programming. For claiming, use causal part 14G371 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Some 2018-2021 vehicles supported by FDRS may not list a software update for a module under the SW Updates tab although an SSM or TSB is published for a software update. To review a vehicle's OTA update history, visit the Connected Vehicle > OTA Dashboard tab in OASIS.
