Service bulletin 15-001-16-3126
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some vehicles may experience one of the following 2 symptoms, even though the windshield is clear. Under certain driving conditions, the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) may detect a dirty windshield (not clear). NOTE FOR CUSTOMER: The FSC may not work properly under the conditions: The windshield is not clear. The FSC lens is not clear. Driving in heavy rain, dense fog or snow, or into the sun. Driving on a road with no or blurred road lane markings. When the windshield becomes foggy in the winter time or other cold weather conditions and LDWS/HBC warning lights turn on, drive with the defroster on for about 10 minutes. This will help clear the foggy windshield at the FSC.

| 09-034-24 | 2024-07-04. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit the inner cloth (A) falling down at the rear end causing a poor appearance and obstructing the view of the back window. This is caused by: CASE A: The J-hook binding holding the inner cloth coming loose because the convertible top is opened/closed a lot or from high ambient temperatures. CASE B: After the previous improvement carried out at the supplier since January 19, 2016, some J-hooks have still been found coming loose to bind and hold the inner cloth during the assembly process. To correct the problem: CASE A: Two top-protector clips have been additionally installed to both side edges of the J-hook to prevent the J-hook from loosening and separating. CASE B: An improved inspection process has been started at the supplier to check the appearance of the inner cloth after installation of the clip. |
