Service bulletin 03-004-16
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 9003704 | 2023-01-09. Service bulletin. Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair. |

Customer may experience the E-shifter will not shift out of park or the customer may be able to turn the E-shifter knob without the brakes being depressed. The shift indicator and cluster will show a flashing D and the cluster will display a message to put the shifter back to the park position. The Transmission will NOT shift out of park, when the brake pedal is not depressed. On further inspection the technician may find DTC P0928-00 BTSI Control. |
| 1801615 | 2023-01-09. Service bulletin. Flash: 6.2L Powertrain Diagnostic And System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illumination. Upon further investigation, the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the PCM memory. ? P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire (manual transmission applications only). ? P1613 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure Sensor/Mass Air Flow Sensor Correlation. ? P2227 - Barometric Pressure Circuit Performance In addition, customers may also comment that, with the cluster set on metric units, they are unable to accurately increase or decrease the cruise control set speed using the resume or set buttons. Instead of changing vehicle speed by 1 KPH when pressing the buttons, the vehicle speed will increase approximately 1.6 KPH. |
