Service bulletin 01-010-17-3378

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some vehicles may experience DTC P064A stored in the PCM memory. There is no drivability concern and a technician may find this DTC during diagnosis for another concern. P064A:00 - (Fuel Pump Control Module Error). [Detection Condition] The difference between the actual fuel pressure and the target fuel pressure is 10 kPa {0.10 kgf/cm2, 1.5 psi} or more, even though the fuel pressure feedback amount on the low pressure side remains high. [Diagnosis Support Note] ? This is a continuous monitor (other). ? The check engine light does not illuminate. ? FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available. ? Snapshot data is available. ? DTC is stored in the PCM memory. The DTC may be set by an inadequate detection logic. To eliminate this concern, the detection function of DTC P064A has been disabled.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
05-002-232023-06-04. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may experience the check engine light and automatic transaxle warning light ON with one or more of these DTCs stored in the TCM memory (P0842, P0847, P0872, P0877, P0780, P1738).
SA-038-222022-07-06. Service bulletin. Service part Automatic Transaxles (ATX) manufactured on or after July, 2018 are shipped with a blank TCM that requires configuration.
SA-070-172021-03-08. Service bulletin. If you receive a customer complaint of an engine oil warning light illuminating, with DTC P250A:00 stored in the PCM, it may be caused by overfilling the engine oil.
05-010-162021-02-01. Service bulletin. Shift shock while accelerating from A stop. Some customers may complain about a slight shift shock while accelerating from a stop and no A/T related DTC's are stored. The shift shock actually occurs intermittently at lock-up transition with the A/C on. Improperly learned values in the TCM for the lock-up slip control may cause excessive pressure for the lock-up clutch. To avoid improper learning, the control logic of the TCM has been changed. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
01-009-17-3377a2018-02-26. Service bulletin. Some customers may experience a lack of power when driving. The master warning light or the check engine light turns on and DTC P130C:00 and U0401:00 (ABS) stored in memory. It occurs mostly at low temperatures. Once the ignition is turned off and on, the concern may disappear. NOTE: DTC P130C:00 may not be found upon M-MDS self test since this DTC is detected when the condition occurs in two drive cycles in a row. The PCM turns the master warning light on during the first drive cycle, then stores a pending DTC. The master warning light and check engine light come on in the second drive cycle as a confirmation of the DTC. The engine power is limited by the fail-safe function both in the first and second drive cycles. DTC P130C:00 - (Pre-ignition detected), DTC U0401:00- (ABS) (Signal error from PCM) Improper control logic of the PCM detects a normal operating noise as a knocking noise. To eliminate this concern, the control logic of the PCM has been changed.
MT-014-172017-08-10. Service bulletin. Whenever you are reprogramming a PCM or any other module, always use the GR8 Battery Charger in the Power Supply mode to prevent the battery from discharging.
01-006-17-33182017-08-10. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain about a slight hesitation while accelerating from a stop. It most likely occurs when D or R range is selected right after engine start or during high rpm idling. This may be caused by an improper PCM control logic. To eliminate this concern, the control logic of the PCM has been changed.
05-002-16-31292017-05-26. Service bulletin. THE NEW SKYACTIV-DRIVE FW6A-EL AT USES “AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) TYPE: FZ”. ONLY USE “ATF-FZ” TO FILL OR TOP OFF THE FLUID LEVEL. ATF-FZ IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR USE IN THE SKYACTIV-DRIVE SERIES AT. IT IS A LOW VISCOSITY FORMULA WITH LESS FRICTION FOR BETTER FUEL ECONOMY. NOTE: ATF-FZ IS COLORED BLUE FOR EASY IDENTIFICATION. TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL, REMOVE THE BOLT, THEN REMOVE THE DIPSTICK. THE DIPSTICK IS MARKED WITH A “FZ” ON SKYACTIV-DRIVE FW6A-EL AT. WHEN FINISHED, INSERT THE DIPSTICK AND INSTALL THE BOLT.
