NHTSA's summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a rear DVD video screen will not turn back on after an ignition key cycle. Dealer should advise the customer that the screen can be turned back on using the power button on the remote or the front seat occupants can toggle the pause / play on screen control. Dealer should communicate to the customer this condition is a normal operating characteristic of their vehicle.
