Service bulletin SSM 46085
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
The Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual has been revised for diagnosing electronic throttle bodies (ETBs). The ETC_ACT and ETC_DSD PIDs should not used to diagnose possible ETB concerns. The IDS has a limited refresh rate when reading these PIDs and cannot display quickly enough to validate a concern. The PCM automatically monitors these inputs more accurately and will set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) when appropriate. Using these PIDs for diagnostics will lead to inaccurate results and improper ETB replacements. If a concern is intermittent and no DTCs are present, refer to historical DTCs and the PC/ED, Section 3 No DTCs Present Index chart for further information.

| TSB 22-2089 | 2022-03-15. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2022 F-150, 2017-2022 F-Super Duty and 2018-2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit poor air conditioning (A/C) performance, loss of airflow and/or engine cooling fans running continuously from high A/C pressures. This concern may be from the evaporator freezing up due to the evaporator temperature sensor being biased. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the evaporator temperature sensor. |

| TSB 21-2250 | 2021-09-30. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2020 F-150, 2017-2020 Super Duty and 2018-2020 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit poor air conditioning (A/C) performance, loss of airflow and/or engine cooling fans running continuously from high A/C pressures. This concern may be from the evaporator freezing up due to the evaporator temperature sensor being biased. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the evaporator temperature sensor. |
| SSM 49805 | 2021-06-01. Service bulletin. Some 2011-2021 vehicles equipped with a diesel engine may have engine oil in the exhaust after turbocharger replacement for various reasons. To correct the condition, remove the exhaust and stand the exhaust up with the turbocharger inlet side facing down using a suitable drain pan. Allow the exhaust to drain for at least 24 hours and reinstall. Do not perform a manual exhaust regeneration. |
| DOR-M9J4S-07 | 2020-07-27. Service bulletin. These SKUs are Exhaust Manifolds with Catalytic Converters. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory due to a loss of CARB certification. These SKUs can no longer be sold as they do not meet CARB standards, but parts on vehicles are not effected. |

| TSB 20-2132 | 2020-06-04. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 19-2232 to update the vehicles affected. Some 2017-2019 F-150 and 2018-2019 Expedition vehicles built on or before 1-Apr-2019 and equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit excessive oil consumption with no visible oil leaks with or without diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0365 and/or P0369. This may be due to a concern with the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to verify the condition and replace the valve covers. |
| TSB 19-2244 | 2019-09-06. Service bulletin. Some 2013-2019 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 3.5L twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P013A and/or P013C stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to an improperly welded exhaust Y-pipe. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the exhaust Y-pipe. Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria: *2013-2019 Explorer *3.5L Ti-VCT engine *Illuminated MIL with only DTCs P013A and/or P013C |
| TSB 19-2232 | 2019-08-06. Service bulletin. Some 2017-2019 F-150 and 2018-2019 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 1-Apr-2019 and equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit excessive oil consumption with no visible oil leaks with or without diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0365 and/or P0369. This may be due to a concern with the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to verify the condition and replace the valve covers. |
| TSB 19-2188 | 2019-08-06. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2017 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine may exhibit excessive white or blue smoke from the exhaust at start up after a cold soak. This may be due to oil entering the left hand turbocharger turbine housing. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the left hand turbocharger oil supply tube with a revised part. |
| SSM 47999 | 2019-06-07. Service bulletin. Some 2016-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 vehicles equipped with 6.7L engine may exhibit a concern where the engine cooling fan stays on at all times or is inoperative. Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0480, P0494, P0495, P0529, P0691, P0692, P0693 and/or P0694 may be stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). To address these vehicle symptoms, use the updated online version of pinpoint test AH in the powertrain control/emission diagnostic (PC/ED) tab on the PTS website. The pinpoint test has been updated to aid in preventing unnecessary fan clutch replacement. |
