Service bulletin 6-217NAS

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Issue: Jaguar XJ customers may complain of a creak, squeak or knock from the front suspension area, particularly enhanced at various speeds whilst travelling over speed bumps or uneven road surfaces. Replacement with a new pair of bushes has subsequently resolved the customer complaint. Investigations into returned parts by both JLR and component suppliers have failed to identify causal factors or defects which may have created the initial customer complaint.
