What is wrong

Issue:

On certain trucks, the pivot bolt for the foldable upper bunk may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper bunk could collapse and drop down on top of a person using the bottom bunk.

Safety Risk:

An upper bunk that falls could create a risk of injury.

Corrective Actions:

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace and tighten the pivot bolts for the foldable upper bunk.

SB35-0362020-10-12. Service bulletin. Freightliner Service Bulletin for Axle Flange Gasket Replaced with O-Ring. Daimler Trucks North America has released a new axle shaft to hub rubber O-ring (part number 11-30728-000) as a replacement for the paper gasket (part number 11-14418-000). The new O-ring will provide better sealing and is reusable. It is quicker and easier to use compared to the paper gasket, because using a paper gasket requires cleaning the hub when the axle shaft is removed.
