What is wrong

Issue:

On certain trucks, the windshield wiper arms may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the wiper arms could slip and they may not wipe the windshield properly.

Safety Risk:

Windshield wipers that do not work properly could affect a driver's visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the windshield wiper arms.

SSM 550932026-08-20. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a concern of the windshield wipers not parking in the correct position on the windshield and/or over-traveling. Alignment keys are a manufacturing aid and are not needed for proper alignment and operation. In some instances, it may be necessary to remove this alignment key to achieve proper alignment. Replacement of the wiper pivot arm, due to a missing alignment key is a not warrantable. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-16.
