Recalls that may apply to the 2008 Yamaha FJR1300
A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

| 11V338000 | 2011-06-27. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. YAMAHA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006-2009 FJR1300 MOTORCYCLES MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 2006, THROUGH MARCH 2009. THE GROUND JOINT CONNECTOR OF THE WIRE HARNESS COULD OVERHEAT AND BECOME DEFORMED, POSSIBLY CAUSING AN INTERMITTENT GROUND WIRE CONNECTION. IF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS NOT PROPERLY GROUNDED, THE IGNITION SYSTEM AND/OR OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS COULD MALFUNCTION, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL. Built 2006-02-01 to 2009-03-31. |

| 09V002000 | 2009-01-08. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH. YAMAHA IS RECALLING 9,300 MY 2006-2009 FJR1300 MOTORCYCLES. THE INTERNAL SWITCH WIRING COULD BECOME DISCONNECTED. IF THIS OCCURS ELECTRICAL CURRENT FLOW WILL BE STOPPED AND THE ENGINE COULD STALL. Built 2006-02-01 to 2008-12-31. |
| 2011247 | 2011-07-04. Electrical. On certain motorcycles, a ground joint connector of the wire harness could overheat, become deformed, and cause an intermittent ground wire connection. If the electrical system is not properly grounded, the ignition system and/or other electrical components could malfunction, which could cause the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install an additional wire sub-lead; however, if the ground joint connector has already been damaged from overheating, the main wire harness will be replaced. |

| 2009035 | 2009-02-03. Electrical. On certain motorcycles, the main ignition switch's wire connection could overheat, due to electrical resistance, and become hot enough to melt the solder connecting the wire to the main switch. As a result, the wire could come off the switch, preventing the electrical system from functioning. Should this occur while the motorcycle is being ridden, the engine could stall and be impossible to restart. A loss of propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the ignition switch with an updated version. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
