TJ26745.13.1-2012019-12-16. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Effective immediately, all 12V batteries may be tested using the hand held battery tester 9513030 (BT3300). The VIDA test is still available but no longer required. For battery replacements under warranty, the code generated by the BT3300 must be manually copied into the repair order text. It must also be printed and attached to the hard copy of the repair order.

Technical Journal TITLE : The Error Frame Finder (EFF) can be an aid in fault tracing intermittent CAN network problems by providing a visible indication of error frames that are being transmitted on the network when the fault becomes active. The advantage of using the EFF function is that error frames are usually transmitted on the network before a vehicle symptom can occur. Hence, if the fault is very intermittent in nature, it may be possible, for example, to induce the wiring fault for a short duration by manipulating the vehicle harnesses and connectors. The electrical fault will occur and be detected by the EFF without ever having a vehicle symptom appear. The instructions for setting up the tool have been simplified.
TJ32206.1.0-20172019-11-18. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. This is a Technical Journal: Short sound interruptions while streaming via Bluetooth. Short sound interruptions may be heard while streaming music via Bluetooth. This may occur even if the audio/music file is stored in the mobile phone.A possible temporary solution may be to change the source in the IHU to Radio and back to Bluetooth again. Another temporary solution to improve this symptom is to perform a ?hard reset? of the mobile phone and/or perform a factory reset of the IHU (NOTE! The IHU will be restored to factory settings.) Do not replace the IHU due to this symptom as it will not solve the root cause.

This is a Technical Journal: P-SIM = Personal Subscriber Identity Module When using the in-car modem and P-SIM connection, the following symptoms may appear: 1 - In car apps such as TuneIn and Pandora connect to the service but say "Connecting..." when trying to play music. 2 - When a device is connected to the vehicle's WiFi hotspot, it will redirect to an AT&T website such as the one in the attachment Wifi Connection Message.jpg The above symptoms are due to the data plan for the P-SIM expiring. There is no fault with the vehicle. Should a customer present one of the above complaints, please direct them to the support site for instructions on how to renew the data plan for the P-SIM.

To protect the throttle housing when using Volvo Car Showmode kit in the specified cars, always remove the connector from the throttle housing (see picture 34206.jpg) A new software for the BRIGO device is under development to avoid this damage. Make sure that the BRIGO device always updated with the latest software.

Volvo has determined that there is the potential for the wire bonding inside the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor (LPS) to become damaged over time. This condition can illuminate the Check Engine Lamp in the Driver Information Module with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-P018C00. The corrective action is to replace the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor per VIDA instructions, if the vehicle displays the condition listed in this bulletin.

Volvo Car USA LLC and Volvo Car Canada LTD (Volvo) on behalf of Volvo Car Corporation, has voluntarily decided to extend warranty coverage on certain model year 2015 ? 2016 S60, V60, XC60, S80, XC90, XC70 models. Volvo has determined that there is the potential for the wire bonding inside the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor (LPS) to become damaged over time. This condition can illuminate the Check Engine Lamp in the Driver Information Module with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-P018C00. The corrective action is to replace the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor per VIDA instructions, if the vehicle displays the condition listed in this bulletin. For eligible vehicles that are beyond the manufacturer warranty period, Volvo will extend the warranty coverage for the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor for 8 years or 80,000 miles from the original vehicle in service date. Coverage is limited to the symptoms described in this bulletin for the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor only. The 8 year extended warranty only applies to vehicles which have exceeded the 4 year or 50,000 miles / 80,000 kilometers New Vehicle Warranty by time or mileage. The limitations and conditions for this extended warranty are identical to the Volvo New Vehicle Warranty. Please refer to the Warranty and Maintenance Records Information booklet for details.
