| 20V378000 | 2020-06-30. SEAT BELTS:FRONT. Volvo Cars of N.A., LLC (Volvo) is recalling certain 2008-2016 V70 and XC70, 2007-2016 S80, 2011-2018 S60 and V60, 2016-2018 S60 Cross Country, 2014-2020 S60L, 2009-2015 S80L, 2009-2016 XC60 and 2015-2018 V60 Cross Country vehicles. The flexible steel cable that connects the seat belt to the front outboard seating positions may fatigue over time, causing the seat belt to not secure the occupant in the event of a crash. |

| 12V317000 | 2012-07-06. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2013 S80 VEHICLES. A SOFTWARE ERROR MAY PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION FROM DOWNSHIFTING SUCH AS SHIFTING FROM FIFTH TO FOURTH GEAR WHEN COASTING. |
| 10V579000 | 2010-11-17. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011, S80, S60, XC70 AND XC60 VEHICLES. THE SOFTWARE CALIBRATION FOR THE FUEL CUT-OFF FUNCTIONALITY IN THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) IS TOO SENSITIVE. |
| 10V489000 | 2010-10-13. AIR BAGS:FRONTAL. VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010-2011 S80, XC70, MODEL YEAR 2011 XC60 AND MODEL YEAR 2010 V70 VEHICLES. THERE MAY BE AN INTERMITTENT FAULT IN THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG CLOCKSPRING WIRING CONNECTOR FOR THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM. Built 2009-11-19 to 2010-06-22. |
| 2020298 | 2020-06-30. Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain vehicles, the flexible steel cable that attaches the seat belt to the outside of the front seats may weaken over time. As a result, the seat belt could detach. Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Action: Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front-outboard seat belt anchors. |
|---|---|
| 2012202 | 2012-07-05. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, when driving, an error in the automatic transmission control system could cause the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the Transmission Control Module. |
| 2010416 | 2010-11-18. Engine. On certain vehicles, the engine and transmission software calibration is too sensitive. When the driver brakes during city driving, and/or releases the accelerator pedal, the engine idle speed may drop resulting in a sudden engine stall without any prior warning. Engine stalling could, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions and driver's reactions, increase the risk of a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will update ECM and TCM software. |
| 2010350 | 2010-10-13. Airbag. On certain vehicles, there may be an intermittent fault in the driver's airbag clockspring wiring connector for the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). If this condition occurs, the SRS lamp will be permanently lit and the message "AIRBAG SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED" will be displayed in the drivers information module. If the condition occurs while driving, and if the driver ignores the warning and an accident occurs where the deployment of the driver's airbag is required, the airbag may not deploy as intended or may not deploy at all. Correction: Fealers will install a metal shim in the airbag clockspring wiring connector. |
