Service bulletins for the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| V171403 2017813 | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Technical Bulletin (Oil Consumption Measurement): Customer states oil consumption is higher than the Volkswagen oil consumption standard of up to 0.5 quarts per 600 miles, or 0.5 liters per 1000 km. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owners Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature and road conditions. Further factors include the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. This document discusses the "Fault Codes" necessary to diagnosis, and potential remedy of the issue. The fault codes for checking warranty coverage for servicing the vehicle are also available. |

This document contains information on how to diagnose, and service this issue. |
| TT 27-15-01 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. Tech Tips (No Crank, No Start After Cold Soak issues): Concern may be the result of a leaking vacuum check valve not holding residual pressure overnight. This results in a hard brake pedal that may require more pressure than usual to allow the vehicle to crank. |
| TT 21-10-02 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER; POWER TRAIN. Tech Tips: The document discusses the conditions of when turbo can to be fixed or replaced |

| V001413 2033846 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Technical Bulletin (Fuel Additive to Help Prevent Sporadic Misfire Faults): Fuel quality impacts the operating performance, efficiency and service life of the engine. The use of poor quality fuels may result in deposit build up on the fuel injectors and intake valves. This may result in a rough running condition, sporadic misfires, or cold start misfire faults storing in the ECM fault memory. This document informs a Volkswagen approved fuel additive is available to help remove and prevent deposits on fuel injectors and intake valves. |
| V921503 2037322 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Technical Bulletin (Washer Level Sensor issues): The sensitivity of the washer solvent level sensor (G33) can be affected by the type, concentration, and the presence of additives in the washer solvent currently in the tank. The operation of the level sensor relies on the composition of the solvent to provide an accurate message on the solvent level. Incorrect concentration and the presence of additives can contaminate the sensor and reduce its sensitivity. This document discusses the diagnosis, and potential remedy of the issue. |
