Service bulletins for the 2008 Volkswagen Touareg

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

TT20061012023-07-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:SUPPLY:PRESSURE GUAGE; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. If you have a complaint of DTCs for the low side fuel pressure being out of specification (e.g. P310B), check the fuel pressure with BOTH a mechanical gauge and by the display in Measured Value Block 103. The readings should be 1 bar higher in the MVB due to reading atmospheric pressure + fuel pressure. If the mechanical gauge reading is within specification BUT the MVB 103 reading is not 1 bar higher, check for a possible faulty G410 Low Fuel Pressure sensor.
TT2113012023-07-05. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE. If mechanical damage is found to the turbocharger (e.g. damaged compression wheel, loose or broken shaft), it is not enough to just replace the turbocharger.

TT 42-08-012019-04-01. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES; SUSPENSION. Tech Tips (Clicking Noise from Rear End): This document informs For a complaint of ?clicking noise when backing up and then braking?, be sure to check the lower outboard control arm in the rear suspension for any play in the bushing. The noise could be mistaken for a differential noise if using chassis ears, because of the noise transferring through the rear axle.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
