Service bulletins for the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

UPDATE Technical Bulletin (UPDATE ? 24Y4 MPI Software): This update has been proactively released to prevent slight hesitation concerns. If vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, TCM must be reprogrammed along with the ECM. If vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, only ECM programming is required. Current ECM programming may be causing slight hesitation related concerns on vehicles equipped with 2.0 liter CBPA engines (depending on driving conditions). The production solution to this issue was Improved ECM/TCM software was introduced to address drivability concerns and slight hesitation complaints. |
| TT 21-10-01 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Tech Tips (N75 Solenoid Valve Diagnosis): This document informs with a diagram which vacuum ports on the N75 valve should hold vacuum and which ones should not for diagnosis on the Vehicles with 2.0T Gasoline Engine (Engine Codes BPY, CCTA, CBFA) to the testing of the N75 |
| SSP 850123 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN. Service Training (The 7-speed Double-Clutch Transmission 0AM Design and Function): The 7-speed double-clutch transmission 0AM is based on the 02E DSG transmission. It offers the same comfort and shifting characteristics of the 02E DSG. It has been designed for engines with a torque of up to 184 lb/ft (250 Nm) of torque. The DSG transmission economy is on a par with manual transmission vehicles. The DSG transmission has succeeded in reducing fuel consumption below that of manual transmissions using technical innovations. This reduction in fuel consumption makes a significant contribution towards lowering emissions. In this SSP, users will learn how the new 0AM double-clutch transmission functions and the technical highlights that help to reduce fuel consumption. |
| V011231 2023591 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Technical Bulletin (TDI Clean Diesel I/M (Inspection Maintenance) Testing Issues due to Readiness Not Set): Some readiness codes on TDI clean diesel vehicles require special driving conditions to be set. If DTCs have been recently erased from the vehicle?s ECM, it may take additional driving under different conditions to fully set OBD readiness parameters. MVB 89 (on non-UDS protocol ECM?s) will store correct data concerning OBD readiness. This document illustrates how to manually read OBD readiness codes. |
| TT 87-12-02 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT. Tech Tips (A/C Shuts Off with Compressor Off Code 12 When Coming to a Stop): This document informs when diagnosing a customer concern of A/C shutting off, with ?compressor off? code 12 when coming to or at a stop, be aware that the ECM strategy is to shut off the A/C compressor to reduce engine load and increase engine vacuum during braking, particularly during the catalyst warm-up phase. A compressor off code of 12 does not necessarily indicate a vehicle concern. |
| TT 17-13-01 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Tech Tips (1.8T or 2.0T engines (CPRA, CPLA, CPPA), No/low oil pressure at idle or oil pressure light on): This document informs to check under the oil filter for the mandrel to be missing. This must be transferred from the old filter and re-installed. The most likely scenario for this to occur is after an oil change. |
