Technical Bulletin (Update Programming for Engine Control Module and Transmission Control Module, for Shudder and/or Slight Hesitation Concerns): Current ECM/TCM programming could be causing slight hesitation related concerns in DSG equipped vehicles (depending on driving conditions). The production solution to this issue is Improved ECM/TCM software to address drivability concerns and slight hesitation complaints. This document discusses the "Fault Codes" necessary to diagnosis, and potential remedy of the issue. The fault codes for checking warranty coverage for servicing the vehicle are also available.

Tech Tips (Transmission Replacement Tip): When replacing the 7 speed DSG transmission, the K0 clutch actuator may come with a yellow and black plastic plug installed, as shown in in this document. This plug should be removed and replaced with the aluminum plug found in the original K0 clutch actuator, shown in this document. The yellow and black plastic plug should be reinstalled in place of the plug on the original transmission.

Due to the functional and design variations in each automatic transmission, the transmission fluid is developed and used by Volkswagen for specific purpose within each application. Under no circumstances are these fluids to be used outside their designated transmission and replacing any of the Volkswagen approved automatic transmission fluids with a universal ?one fluid fits all? approach is not accepted.
