| 2021014 | 2021-01-20. Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, a front brake hose may be too long and could rub against the steering mechanism. This can cause damage to the hose that could result in a brake fluid leak. If this happens, a driver may have reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the front brake hose. It will be replaced, if necessary. |

This could cause the bolts to loosen, which may result in reduced brake effectiveness. Safety Risk: Reduced brake effectiveness could cause an increase in stopping distance and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front brake caliper mounting bolts. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
