By component
| 04V496000 | 2004-10-14. SUSPENSION:REAR. ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THERE MAY BE A POOR WELD ON THE REAR SUSPENSION UNIT BODY. Built 2003-12-04 to 2004-02-18. |
|---|---|
| 04V262000 | 2004-06-02. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. ON SOME MOTORCYCLES, UNDER CERTAIN ASSEMBLY CONDITIONS, THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY CABLE TO THE STARTER MOTOR MAY COME INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE OIL COOLER RETURN PIPE. THIS COULD CAUSE THE INSULATION ON THE STARTER CABLE TO DEGRADE. Built 2002-09-24 to 2004-03-12. |
| 03V525000 | 2003-12-11. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:MASTER CYLINDER. ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, IF THE MOTORCYCLE IS DROPPED ONTO THE LEFT SIDE, AIR MAY ENTER THE REAR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR. Built 2001-06-01 to 2003-12-10. |
| 2004354 | 2004-09-28. Suspension. On certain motorcycles, incorrectly manufactured rear suspension units may have inadequate weld penetration between the bottom eyelet and the main rear suspension unit body. As a result, the lower eyelet could become detached, compromising vehicle stability. A loss of vehicle stability could result in a crash, causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace both rear suspension units. |
|---|---|
| 2004273 | 2004-07-30. Electrical. On certain motorcycles, the electrical power supply cable to the starter motor may come into direct contact with the oil cooler return pipe. In time, this may cause the insulation on the starter to degrade. Should the starter motor cable insulation become worn, a 12-volt electrical short would occur, increasing the risk of a fire. Correction: Dealers will re-position the cable. |
| 2003328 | 2003-12-11. Brakes. On certain motorcycles, air may enter the rear brake master cylinder reservoir if the motorcycle is dropped onto its left side. If left unattended, the rear brake may not operate, resulting in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealer will install a bracket to raise the reservoir 70mm and allow introduced air to self bleed. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
