Service bulletins for the 2013 Toyota Tundra
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| T-TT-0262-13 Rev | 2018-04-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Tech Tip: Starting with the 2010 Model Year, Toyota began a gradual transition to the use of synthetic 0w20 viscosity engine oil. There are multiple benefits of this oil including: Reduced friction and wear on engine surfaces, Improved fuel economy, Reduction in waste oil stream (in vehicles approved for 10,000 mile oil change intervals), Reduced maintenance cost (in vehicles approved for 10,000 mile oil change intervals). Due to the improved performance and durability of 0w20 synthetic oil, Toyota has extended the oil change intervals to 10,000 mile for most vehicles that require this oil. With this change, the following should be noted: The 2TR-FE (4Runner/Tacoma) and the 3UR-FBE (Flex Fuel Tundra/Sequoia) are the exceptions to this new change interval program; these engines have not been approved for the 10,000 mile interval at this time. A 5,000 mile oil change interval is still required for these vehicles. Also, the Flex Fuel 3UR-FBE requires a 2,500 mile interval when operated on E85 50% of the time or more. Only Toyota vehicles in which 0w20 oil is mandatory (except for the 2TR-FE & 3UR-FBE Engines) have been approved for extended oil change intervals. Vehicles in which 0w-20 is an option to 5w20 (or 5w30) will continue to require 5,000 mile change intervals, even if 0w20 oil is used. In case of vehicles with 10,000 mile oil change intervals, the 5,000 mile service interval has not been eliminated. The traditional 5,000 mile maintenance procedures (such as tire rotation) will continue to be required, and the fluid levels (including engine oil) will need to be checked and adjusted at this time. If the vehicle operation meets the standard criteria for "Special Operating Conditions" such as: driving off-road, on dirt roads, towing a trailer, making repeated short trips under 32 degrees F, or extensive idling, the engine oil must be replaced at 5,000 mile intervals, regardless of oil used. |

| T-SB-0058-13 Rev | 2018-04-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ENGINE. TSB: Some 2012 ? 2015 model year Sequoia and Tundra vehicles with the 3UR-FBE engine may exhibit a MIL ?ON? condition with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0171/P0174 (System too Lean Bank 1/ Bank 2), P0172/P0175 (System too Rich Bank 1/Bank 2), P1604 (Startability Malfunction), and/or P1605 (Rough Idling) after attempting to start the engine. Alcohol Density Estimate values may be high even though the vehicle was fueled with regular fuel (E0/E10). The Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to address this condition. Use the following Repair Procedure to reprogram the ECM (PCM). © |

| F0A_LSC_Dealer D | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER. Dealer Daily: In our continuing effort to ensure the best in customer satisfaction, Toyota is launching a Limited Service Campaign (LSC) on certain 2012 - 2014 MY Tundra and Sequoia vehicles. This LSC will cover approximately 39,000 Sequoia and 247,000 Tundra vehicles equipped with a 5.7 liter gasoline or 5.7 Liter-Flex Fuel engines. |
| D0E_LSC_Technica | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Technical Instructions: In certain 2012 - 2013 Model Year Toyota Tundra and Sequoia vehicles equipped with a 5.7 Liter gasoline or 5.7 Liter-Flex Fuel engines, the Engine Control Module (ECM) calibration may cause an emissions control component called an Air Injection Pump to fail under certain driving conditions. If this occurs, the vehicle could enter a "Fail-Safe" Mode (also known as "Limp-Home" Mode). This mode reduces the vehicle's power and speed, which could inconvenience you and require immediate repair. |

Tundra Split Rear Dual Exhaust Revised Exhaust Hangers On vehicles equipped with the SET accessory Split Rear Dual Exhaust system, the exhaust pipe may become loose due to the rubber isolator separating from the bracket. This will allow the exhaust pipe to come in contact with the frame or suspension and cause a rattling noise. The exhaust pipe is still supported by the remaining brackets. An updated rear exhaust hanger bracket is available to maintain correct alignment of the hanger and Rubber Isolator. |
