Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. Some 2012 ? 2015 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit rust spots on the B-pillar and/or C-pillar (double cab only) area on either or both driver and passenger side. Repairing/repainting and installation of paint protective films in the affected areas will be required to address this condition. The paint repair may need to be sublet to a body shop. TSB: REVISION NOTICE July 20, 2017 Rev1: Applicability has been updated to exclude 2007 ? 2017 model year Avanza vehicles. Some hazardous material treatment and handling regulations at the state and local level define the pre-disposal deployment of airbag and pre-tensioner assemblies as hazardous material treatment. Hazardous material treatment may require special training, certification or licensing in certain areas. TMS recommends that dealership personnel carefully review and follow ALL local and state regulations, and where necessary, contract with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Licensed Hazardous Waste Transportation and Disposal facilities.

Toyota models equipped with the Display Audio Navigation System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB drive to update the map, points of interest, Gracenote, and system software. The SST is used with all the vehicles to deliver the update, however a unique Activation Number is required for each vehicle.

Some 2005 ? 2013 model year Tacoma vehicles equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission may exhibit a whine noise from the rear differential between 50 ? 60 mph (80 ? 97 km/h). If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, or at the top of the rear glass, the source of the noise may be the two stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield/rear glass, or the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin provides the recommended repair procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the windshield/rear glass area.

T-TT-0257-132018-04-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. iTunes Radio is a new feature for iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, and 5C running iOS 7 or later. This feature does work with the in-vehicle audio system either via Bluetooth or by USB cable. Details on how to access this feature are described below.
T-TT-0256-132018-04-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Customers using iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, or 5C running iOS 7.0 or later now have the ability to make Facetime Audio calls (no video). When a customer is paired by Bluetooth Hands Free and they make a Facetime Audio call the vehicle radio will treat it as a typical Bluetooth phone call. Because Facetime works differently than a typical phone call, the in-vehicle experience may not meet the customer?s expectations.

To receive satellite radio functions after the initial trial period has expired, the customer must enter into a contract with XM Satellite Radio Inc. After entering into a contract, registration of an 8-digit XM Radio ID is required. This 8-digit XM Radio ID is found by turning to channel ?0? of the satellite radio.
