TSB: Some 2004 ? 2009 model year Prius and 2006 ? 2007 Highlander HV vehicles may exhibit a condition where the brake, ABS, and/or TRAC warning light(s) are ON and/or a Check VSC message is displayed. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1391, C1252, C1253, or C1256 may be stored. This condition may be caused by a small internal brake fluid leak inside the brake actuator. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.
T-SB-0174-12 Rev2018-04-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE. TSB: Some 2004 ? 2009 model year Prius vehicles may exhibit a MIL ?ON? and brake warning lights (ABS/VSC) illuminated in the instrument panel with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1247 (Stroke Sensor Malfunction) stored in the ABS/VSC Electronic Control Unit (ECU). This DTC may set as a result of an overly sensitive monitoring logic without any other ABS/VSC system issue. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to properly diagnose the system and, if necessary, replace the ABS/VSC ECU with an ECU containing the updated monitoring logic.
