Service bulletins for the 2016 Toyota Prius V
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| T-SB-0069-15 | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL. TSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying your dealership's new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: * Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. * Proper operation of electrical accessories (including interior light, clock, and radio reset). * Interior cleanliness. * Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles has been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular oil changes are essential to the proper maintenance of their vehicle, dealers are required to begin installing a first oil change reminder sticker prior to delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for their first oil change. Your current oil change reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 9 of "Final Inspection & Cleaning.") A New PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2016 model year Prius V. Some check points have been added, expanded, or clarified. Bulletins are available for items in bold type. |

When the short pin is reinstalled or the battery terminal is reconnected, the rear view monitor will operate, but the Steering Angle Sensor center position must be set through system initialization before the Advanced Parking Guidance System will become operational. Initialize the Advanced Parking Guidance System after installing the short pin during Pre-delivery Service (PDS). |
| T-SB-0087-14 Rev | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY. TSB: Prius and Mirai vehicles are equipped with 2 types of batteries: * Hybrid Vehicle (HV) battery * 12-volt auxiliary battery If Prius or Mirai vehicles are put into storage, the state of charge (SOC) of its HV battery and auxiliary battery will gradually decrease. To prevent the auxiliary battery from becoming discharged during storage, proper maintenance is necessary. Please perform the following maintenance service for the HV battery and 12-volt auxiliary battery. NOTE * Before disconnecting the auxiliary battery, confirm the shift lever is in the "P" position and apply the parking brake completely. The shift lever CANNOT be shifted from the "P" position with the 12-volt auxiliary battery disconnected. * If the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary battery is reconnected, even if the power button is in the "START" mode, the hybrid/fuel cell system may NOT start. In this case, push the "POWER" button and select the "START" mode again to start the hybrid/fuel cell system (the "READY" light is ON). If the hybrid/fuel cell system still does NOT start (the "READY" light is OFF), refer to the Repair Manual. |

| T-SB-0044-16 | 2017-04-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. TSB: ON SOME VEHICLES, WHEN RAPGARD™ IS REMOVED, THE PAINT MAY HAVE A STAINED APPEARANCE. THESE STAINS APPEAR TO BE UNDER THE CLEAR COAT (REPAINTING THIS AREA IS NOT NECESSARY). THE STAIN PATTERNS ARE USUALLY UNDER WRINKLES IN THE RAPGARD™. THESE WRINKLES SOMETIMES TRAP WATER AND CAUSE THE PAINT TO STAIN FROM THE TRAPPED MOISTURE, ESPECIALLY ON HORIZONTAL SURFACES, SUCH AS THE HOOD, ROOF, AND TRUNK. STAINS CAN BE REMOVED BY HEATING THE STAINED SURFACE TO REMOVE THE TRAPPED MOISTURE. |

PLEASE REFER TO THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE TO ENSURE THAT THE ORIGINAL TIRES STAY IN THE SAME LOCATION ON THE VEHICLE." |
