Service bulletins for the 2015 Toyota Prius V
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| T-SB-0101-15 Rev | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). TSB: REVISION NOTICE August 23, 2016 Rev1: Applicability has been updated to include 2015 model year Prius and Prius PHV vehicles. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. Toyota models equipped with the Display Audio Navigation System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB drive to update the map, points of interest, Gracenote®, and system software. The SST is used with all vehicles to deliver the update, however a unique Activation Number is required for each vehicle. Activation Numbers are provided in an Activation Card Number (ACN) pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Use the process described in this bulletin to perform the update. |

| T-SB-0025-15 | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TSB: While a vehicle is in inventory, the battery is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and life. Batteries can become discharged due to an extended storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, or while demonstrating vehicle features and benefits in the sales process. Battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life. As described in this bulletin, operating the engine for 30 minutes after 60 days in storage and every 30 days thereafter will help to maintain battery State of Charge (SOC). This process supplements other movements of the vehicle as it is staged, and has specific restrictions on how maintenance is to be done. Also described in this bulletin are 2 other approved methods for maintaining battery State of Charge. |
| T-SB-0036-15 | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. TSB: Some 2015 model year Prius V vehicles may exhibit an intermittently inoperative radio/navigation touch screen. The only way the touch controls are able to be recovered is to cycle the ignition or reboot the head unit. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to address this condition. |
| T-SB-0108-15 | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). TSB: Toyota models equipped with Premium HDD Navigation (AVN/AW-EMV) System will periodically require an update to the Gracenote Database. Gracenote includes detailed information for songs (eg., Genre, Artist, Song, Title, Album Name, etc.). The Gracenote update will be included on the "USB Drive Navigation Map Update" SST. A Gracenote update must be performed before a Navigation Map Update. A Navigation Map Update is not required to complete the Gracenote update. Use the process described in this bulletin to perform the update. |
| T-SB-0133-14 Rev | 2017-08-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). TSB: Prius and Mirai vehicles are equipped with 2 types of batteries: * Hybrid Vehicle (HV) battery * 12-volt auxiliary battery If Prius or Mirai vehicles are put into storage, the state of charge (SOC) of its HV battery and auxiliary battery will gradually decrease. To prevent the auxiliary battery from becoming discharged during storage, proper maintenance is necessary. Please perform the following maintenance service for the HV battery and 12-volt auxiliary battery. NOTE * Before disconnecting the auxiliary battery, confirm the shift lever is in the "P" position and apply the parking brake completely. The shift lever CANNOT be shifted from the "P" position with the 12-volt auxiliary battery disconnected. * If the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary battery is reconnected, even if the power button is in the "START" mode, the hybrid/fuel cell system may NOT start. In this case, push the "POWER" button and select the "START" mode again to start the hybrid/fuel cell system (the "READY" light is ON). If the hybrid/fuel cell system still does NOT start (the "READY" light is OFF), refer to the Repair Manual. |
