Service bulletins for the 2015 Toyota 4Runner

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

338 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

T-SB-0040-082017-08-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. TSB: On some vehicles, when Rapgard is removed, the paint may have a stained appearance. These stains appear to be under the clear coat (repainting this area is not necessary). The stain patterns are usually under wrinkles in the Rapgard. These wrinkles sometimes trap water and cause the paint to stain from the trapped moisture, especially on horizontal surfaces, such as the hood, roof, and trunk. Stains can be removed by heating the stained surface to remove the trapped moisture.
T-SB-0009-152017-08-14. Service bulletin. WHEELS; TIRES; STRUCTURE:BODY:BUMPERS. TSB: Some 2015 model year TRD Pro Edition 4Runner vehicles may experience an abnormal noise when in reverse with the wheels at or near full lock due to interference between the tire and bumper, and/or fender liner. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

T-SB-0084-142017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE. TSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying our new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: ? Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. ? Proper operation of electrical accessories (including interior light, clock, and radio reset). ? Interior cleanliness. ? Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles has been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular oil changes are essential to the proper maintenance of their vehicle, dealers are required to begin installing a first oil change reminder sticker prior to delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for their first oil change. Your current oil change reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 11 of ?Final Inspection & Cleaning.?)
T-SB-0082-142017-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:CARRIER/RACK; STRUCTURE:BODY. TSB: To prevent paint damage during transportation, the roof rack leg covers and cross bars are kept inside the vehicle so that the Rapgard? protective film can remain in place on the roof panel. Install roof rack leg covers on all vehicles according to the procedure outlined in this bulletin. Install the roof rack cross bars, if equipped, to the roof rack rails according to the following procedure during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).
