Service bulletins for the 2003 Toyota 4Runner
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Toyota will initiate a Special Service Campaign (SSC) to replace the fuel pulsation damper on certain 2003 Model Year (MY) Toyota 4Runner V6 vehicles. On certain early 2003 Model Year 4Runner V6 vehicles, the fuel pulsation damper, located on the fuel rail, may have been improperly assembled. If the pulsation damper fails, a small amount of fuel may leak. In the worst case, this may result in an engine compartment fire if a heat or ignition source is present. |
