Recalls that may apply to the 2006 Thomas Built HDX
A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

2015-06-29. Structure. On certain school buses, the stem which joins the outside emergency door handle to the emergency door opening mechanism may potentially corrode. Excessive material loss of the stem due to corrosion could result in the outside handle separating from the door mechanism while trying to open the door from the exterior of the bus. In the event of an emergency, this could delay evacuation of the vehicle and increase the risk of injury to occupants. Correction: Dealers will inspect the stems and either replace or protect them against further corrosion.

2008-12-15. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, high pressure fuel lines and transfer tubes may fatigue and fracture, causing a diesel fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel lines and transfer tubes with more robust versions.
2008-11-19. Electrical. On certain buses, circuit breakers may trip unnecessarily resulting in a loss of power to chassis and body electrical circuits. Unexpected loss of exterior lighting and/or engine stalling, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reaction, could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the solid state dual power switch with mechanical circuit protection (Mega Fuse).
2008-08-19. Other. On certain buses equipped with Ricon "S" or "K" series wheelchair lift platforms, the anti-stow interlock may not detect the presence of a wheelchair/mobility aid user. This scenario could cause the lift to stow even though someone is still on lift and could result in personal injuries to a user. Correction: Dealers will adjust the sensitivity level of the anti-stow pressure switch.
2008-08-19. Other. On certain buses equipped with a Ricon "S" or "K" series wheelchair lift platform, the threshold warning system may not detect the presence of a wheelchair/mobility aid user in a certain area within the defined threshold area. This scenario could cause personal injuries to a user. Correction: Dealers will replace the threshold warning system metal covers & optical sensors.
2008-02-22. Other. On certain school buses, the rear emergency exit exterior door handle may be severely weakened over time by corrosion. In the event of an emergency, a person on the outside of the bus may break the door handle trying to open the emergency exit, potentially delaying evacuation and increasing the risk of personal injury to the vehicle's occupants. Correction: Dealers will replace the aluminium handles with more robust versions.
2008-02-21. Other. On certain school buses equipped with Braun platform lifts, a passenger can approach the exposed lift doorway without the audible alarm alerting them of their proximity to the threshold. Should the threshold warning system fail to operate, the lift user can fall from the vehicle and be seriously injured. Correction: Owners will be provided with inspection and retrofit instructions. Note: Further evaluation revealed that only U.S. vehicles are involved.
2007-12-03. Electrical. On certain buses, the Type II auto reset circuit breaker temperatures may exceed the rating of the circuit board. This could cause the board to melt, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire. If this occurs while the vehicle is underway, it could cause a vehicle crash resulting in property damage and/or personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the auto reset circuit breakers with manual circuit breakers and jumper cables.
2007-07-11. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the internal rubber check valve inside the Bendix SR-7 spring brake modulating valve can become deformed over time. The effect of this defect is intermittent and presents a potential delay or failure in applying the parking brakes; potentially resulting in a vehicle roll away. Should this occur, the unattended roll away vehicle could strike a bystander or cause property damage. Correction: Dealers will install a check valve repair kit.
2007-03-16. Other. On certain school buses equipped with a Ricon wheelchair lift system, a misrouted wire may interfere with the lift's roll stop switch operation. The lift platform occupant may be momentarily lifted off balance by the roll stop as it rotates into position, resulting in personal injury. Correction: Dealers will re-route the wire and test lift for correct operation.
2006-05-01. Electrical. On certain school buses, the body Power Distribution Module (PDM) was manufactured with copper circuits that are too thin for the electrical loads encountered, possibly resulting in an overheat condition. This condition, if not addressed, may cause a vehicle fire, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the PDM with an updated unit.
2006-01-12. Suspension. On certain vehicles, the front spring eyes may crack. Failure of the front springs may cause reduced steering control which could result in a vehicle crash with injuries or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the front springs.
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
