2015-06-29. Structure. On certain school buses, the stem which joins the outside emergency door handle to the emergency door opening mechanism may potentially corrode. Excessive material loss of the stem due to corrosion could result in the outside handle separating from the door mechanism while trying to open the door from the exterior of the bus. In the event of an emergency, this could delay evacuation of the vehicle and increase the risk of injury to occupants. Correction: Dealers will inspect the stems and either replace or protect them against further corrosion.

2008-02-22. Other. On certain school buses, the rear emergency exit exterior door handle may be severely weakened over time by corrosion. In the event of an emergency, a person on the outside of the bus may break the door handle trying to open the emergency exit, potentially delaying evacuation and increasing the risk of personal injury to the vehicle's occupants. Correction: Dealers will replace the aluminium handles with more robust versions.
2007-12-03. Electrical. On certain buses, the Type II auto reset circuit breaker temperatures may exceed the rating of the circuit board. This could cause the board to melt, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire. If this occurs while the vehicle is underway, it could cause a vehicle crash resulting in property damage and/or personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the auto reset circuit breakers with manual circuit breakers and jumper cables.
2007-03-29. Seats And Restraints. Certain school buses equipped, at customer request, with passenger seatbelts, may suffer seatbelt failure. The edge of the metal seatbelt retainer strips may cause chafe damage to the belts. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if chafe damage is found, replace seatbelt assemblies. Seatbelt retainer strips will either be replaced or modified to prevent future chafing. Note: This action is deemed a product improvement campaign and is not being conducted under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
2007-03-19. Brakes. On certain school buses, the service air brake pedal, for both non-adjustable and adjustable brake pedals, may contact the front structure of the floor/firewall, limiting the maximum brake force available. Insufficient air brake pressure can cause extended stopping distances without prior warning, resulting in a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the pedal pushrod with a longer one.
2005-05-10. Heater And Defroster. On certain vehicles, burner tubes in the Webasto DBW 2010 Scholastic coolant heater may begin deteriorating at an accelerated rate and could fail. Burner tube failure could result in an increase in exhaust gas temperature which could ignite combustible material in or around the vehicle. Correction: Dealers will replace the burner tubes.
2005-03-29. Steering. On certain school buses, a crack on the internal thread root of the tie rod could lead to separation of the tie rod from the steer axle assembly. Tie rod separation could result in a loss of steering control. Correction: Dealers will replace the tie rod assemblies.
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
