| 18V804000 | 2018-11-14. STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:PUMP. Suzuki Motor America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2012-2013 Suzuki SX4 vehicles. The power steering pump may seize causing a loss of steering assist. Built 2011-09-03 to 2013-04-05. |
|---|---|
| 18V331000 | 2018-05-17. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2013 Suzuki Kizashi and SX4 vehicles equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Transmission Control Module (TCM) may fail causing a reduction in speed or reduced vehicle acceleration. Built 2012-07-19 to 2013-04-05. |
| 15V587000 | 2015-09-22. STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:PUMP. Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2012-2103 Suzuki SX4 vehicles manufactured September 3, 2011, to April 5, 2013. In the affected vehicles, insufficient clearance between the power steering pump body and the power steering fluid control valve may cause improper movement of the valve, and as a result, the power steering pump may seize. Built 2013-09-03 to 2013-04-05. |
| 14V811000 | 2014-12-22. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:GEAR POSITION INDICATION (PRNDL). Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2010-2013 SX4 vehicles manufactured July 16, 2009, to November 1, 2012, and 2010-2013 Kizashi vehicles manufactured October 13, 2009, to October 31, 2012. The shift selector can be moved out of the "Park" position without depressing the brake pedal. Built 2012-06-01 to 2012-11-01. |
| 13V572000 | 2013-11-18. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Suzuki del Caribe (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2013 SX4 vehicles manufactured December 26, 2012, through February 4, 2013 and equipped with a continuously variable transmission. The bolts that fasten the drive plate to the torque converter may not have been installed with sufficient torque and may loosen and come out. Built 2012-12-26 to 2013-02-04. |
| 2018643 | 2018-11-21. Steering. On certain vehicles, a defect in the power steering pump could cause it to seize after a long period of vehicle non-operation (such as overnight parking) during cold ambient temperatures. This would unexpectedly increase the steering effort force necessary to steer the vehicle at lower vehicle speeds, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the power steering pump. |
|---|---|
| 2018276 | 2018-05-24. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, a circuit board inside the Transmission Control Module (TCM) may develop a crack, preventing it from controlling the transmission properly. This could result in reduced vehicle speed and poor acceleration, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the TCM with a reprogrammed unit. |
| 2015415 | 2015-09-21. Correction: Dealers will replace the power steering pump with an improved part. |
| 2014578 | 2014-12-18. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the detent pin within the shift lock structure may have been incorrectly positioned. An incorrectly positioned detent pin in combination with high temperature conditions could allow the transmission shift selector to be moved out of the PARK position without depressing the brake pedal. Depending which gear the driver selects, the vehicle could begin to move forward or backward immediately. This movement could result in property damage, or cause the vehicle to strike a bystander, potentially resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the shift selector assembly with an improved part which incorporates an extended detent pin. |
| 2013407 | 2013-11-18. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the bolts that fasten the drive plate to the torque converter may not have been sufficiently tightened during vehicle assembly. Should these bolts loosen, they could become caught between the drive plate and the cylinder block, which may cause the engine to stall, resulting in a loss of motive power. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
