Service bulletins for the 2019 Subaru Ascent
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 03-85-20R | 2020-12-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT. This bulletin announces the availability of new propeller shaft assemblies. |
| WUV07 | 2020-12-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN. Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2019 model year Ascent vehicles in which midjoint of the transmission hydraulic sensor harness was made with dissimilar materials (tinplate and copper) which may cause an oxide film to form. If an oxide film forms, the electrical resistance may increase, potentially causing an incorrect measurement of the hydraulic pressure. If the fluid pressure is measured higher than its actual value, the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) programming was not robust enough to compensate for variation and would instruct the valve to lower the hydraulic pressure, thus potentially reducing the tension on the drive chain. Customers may experience irregular noise and/or vibration while driving, and/or warning lamp illumination. A total of 76,842 U.S. vehicles will be affected by this recall. |
| 16-128-20R | 2020-11-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This bulletin announces availability of a new transmission harness for use when diagnosis of DTC P0842 determines the sensor itself is OK but the transmission wiring harness is NG. |
| 16-128-20 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This bulletin announces availability of a new transmission harness for use when diagnosis of DTC P0842 - TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR/ SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT LOW. |

(Subaru) is initiating a new safety recall for certain 2019 model year Ascent vehicles in which the Continually Variable Transmission (CVT) chain may slip. |
| 16-103-16R | 2019-10-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. This bulletin has been developed in response to a small number of customer concerns regarding fluid seepage found coming from the CVT assembly. Investigation has identified likely sources of the seepage to be the sealant used on the CVT’s oil pump chain cover and the input shaft oil seal. The repair involves chain cover removal, a thorough cleaning and inspection of the sealing surfaces followed by re-sealing the cover and replacement of the input shaft oil seal with the new, redesigned type. |
